There are three types of punishments, the first of which is "barrel punishment". As the name suggests, it is a bucket, a prisoner, so how is it executed? This punishment is also to put a person in a chest, but this box is customized, with a height of twenty centimeters, a length and width of thirty-five centimeters, and four holes around it, which are used to lock the limbs. The palace maid could not stand in it, but could only squat, so it was also called "squatting". And the people who died of this punishment were particularly miserable, their limbs deformed and distorted.
The last one is called "Standing Cage", and the history of this punishment is longer than the history of the first two, which has existed since the founding of the Qing Dynasty. The instrument of torture is also a specially custom-made wooden cage, and the shape of the cage is a trapezoidal shape of narrow upper and lower width. The prisoner stood in it, his head fixed in the narrow section, and then began a long standing time.
