The "three guarantees" regulations for new cars came into effect on January 1

[Aika Auto Industry News Original]

From January 1, 2022, the new version of the "Provisions on the Responsibility for Repair, Replacement and Return of Household Automobile Products" was officially implemented, which was significantly revised compared with the "Regulations on the Responsibility for repair, replacement and return of Household Automobile Products" issued in 2013.

The new regulations clearly point out the specific circumstances of returning and replacing cars:

First, the repair has been carried out twice due to a serious safety performance failure, but the fault has not been ruled out or a new serious safety performance failure has occurred;

Second, the engine, transmission, power battery, and driving drive motor have been replaced twice due to their quality problems, and they still cannot be used normally;

Third, the same main parts of the engine, transmission, power battery, driving drive motor, steering system, brake system, suspension system, transmission system, pollution control device, and body are replaced twice due to quality problems, and still cannot be used normally;

Fourth, the cumulative repair time due to quality problems exceeds 30 days, or the cumulative repair time due to the same quality problems exceeds 4 times.

At the same time, in this new regulation, a family pickup truck was added to the basis of a passenger car. This also goes a long way towards protecting the rights and interests of pickup truck consumers. Moreover, the "new three guarantees" require that the "depreciation of the installation, decoration costs and related service costs" also need to be compensated to consumers at the same time as returning and replacing the car, and this process will also be completed within 20 working days.
