Rumor: The Agni Chariot reboot will be developed by SIE's first-party European studio

Foreign media VGC broke the news last year, saying that SIE was considering restarting the "Twisted Metal" series, produced by "Doom All-Star" developer Lucid Games. But the latest news claims that Lucid Games is no longer continuing to develop the game, and Sony has decided to transfer the project to a first-party studio based in Europe.

Sources say Sony still hopes the Vehicle Chaos game series will return to coincide with the TV series of the same name that will air in 2023, and this reboot has already progressed within the unknown SIE first-party European studios. Sources did not give a reason to change the development team, but one of them believed it may be due to the poor rating of Doom All-Stars, developed by Lucid Games.

At last week's CES 2022 Sony launch, the "Chariot of Fire" live-action TV series was once again confirmed to be in production. It has been mentioned earlier that Anthony McKay (Captain America, The Falcon of the Avengers) will be part of the show's cast, and Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will join the show's production.
