Rumor: The reboot of "Vehicles of Fire" was transferred to Sony's European first-party studios

Last year, it was rumored that Doom Racing All-Star developer Lucid Games was in the early days of the Agni Chariot reboot.

Recently, a person familiar with the matter revealed to the media VGC that Lucid Games has stopped the development of the reboot of "Chariot of Fire" and transferred all the relevant work content to a Sony first-party studio in Europe.

Sony's current first-party studios in Europe include Guerrilla Games, Housemarque ( Returnal ), London Studios ( Blood & Truth ) , Media Molecule ( "Dreams") and the newly acquired Nixxes and Firesprite. We don't yet know who will be in charge of the development of the Vehicle of Fire reboot.

Neither SIE nor Lucid Games responded to the VGC's questions, but speculated that it was the poor performance of "Crash Cars All-Stars" that led sony to make the decision to change the development studio.

According to the breaking news in September last year, the reboot of "Chariot of Fire" will be framed by the "free to play" model, and is expected to be launched in 2023 along with the live-action comedy of the same name. The Chariot of Fire adaptation starred Anthony Mackie (Falcon and the Winter Soldier), with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool and Zombie Land) writing the screenplay.
