The chariot of Fire reboot may be released with the TV series

We already know that PlayStation Productions is working on the Chariot of Fire TV series. Red Reese and Paul Wernick, screenwriters of Deadpool and Zombie Land, will write the script, and Michael Jonathan Smith of Cobra will serve as executive producer.

It's unclear when the show will land on streaming platforms, but once it does, it's likely to be accompanied by a brand new Chariot of Fire game.

GamesBeat's Jeff Grubb recently revealed what he knew about Chariot of Fire on the Giant Bomb video show. Grubb said: "I think Chariot of Fire is already in development, but it may be a long way off, so I think we thought it was too early. He added that Sony is "expanding" its game distribution strategy.

Speaking about the upcoming TV series of Chariots of Fire, Grubb compared it to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and explained how Marvel combined the game with the movie. He added: "I think there's an idea inside Sony, 'Hey, we're making a movie, why not take advantage of it?' ’”

If the Chariot of Fire reboot is still in the early stages of development, it may mean that the TV series also has a long way to go. Grubb further mentioned that david Jaffe, the creator of the game, was not involved in the development of the new game, which also confirmed previous reports that David Jaffe said that Sony had not contacted him about the restart of Chariot of Fire.

Since the revamp of Vehicles of Fire on PS3 in 2012, the Vehicles of Fire series has not launched a new game. The game reimagined the gameplay of Vehicles of Fire, adding a backstory for each character while retaining the same vehicle movements. Despite the game's widespread positive reviews, sales were not enough to rekindle the series.
