According to Deadline, Marvel "Falcon" actor Anthony McKay will star in Sony's "Chariot of Fire" game adaptation TV series, playing the main character John Doe.
Asad Qizilbash, leader of PlayStation Productions, said: "We are delighted to welcome Anthony McKay, whose ability to blend comedy, action and drama is a perfect fit for the chariot of Fire world we are creating. ”
Sony's vehicle combat series will be adapted into an action comedy written by Deadpool and Zombie Land writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
The Chariot of Fire series focuses on an outsider whose mission is to deliver a mysterious package through the wasteland of the post-apocalyptic world. There are bandits driving deadly vehicles, including Sweet Tooth, an iconic character in the Vehicles of Fire series, a psychotic clown driving a modified ice cream truck.
Glenn Adilman, Sony's executive vice president of television comedy development, said: "We have been a big fan of Anthony's outstanding work for many years, and we know he is the only actor who can play such a complex, funny and compelling role as John Doe. ”
