"XCMG Helps you succeed", this catchy slogan comes from Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd., also known as XCMG Group, which currently ranks first in China's construction machinery industry, third in the world's construction machinery industry, and 409th in the world's top 500 brands.
In China and even the world, XCMG has an unshakable hegemonic position, but today we do not talk about XCMG Group, to talk about XCMG Heavy Trucks under XCMG Group.
2008-2012: Ready to go
XCMG Heavy Truck, whose full name is "Nanjing XCMG Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd.", is a heavy-duty truck manufacturing enterprise controlled by XCMG Group, which was established in September 2008.
By the way, the predecessor of XCMG Heavy Truck is Chunlan, which is manufactured from home appliances to trucks, and the predecessor of Chunlan Truck is Nanjing Dongfeng Special Purpose Automobile Manufacturing General Factory, which was established in 1986. It can be said that XCMG Heavy Truck not only has the financial and strategic support of XCMG Group, but also indirectly has 22 years of experience in car manufacturing.
After taking over the Chunlan truck, the first thing XCMG Heavy Truck did was to take its essence to remove its dross, and the essence mentioned here is the UD cab. You know, when chunlan trucks are not yet lonely, the UD cab imported from Japan is its biggest selling point.
At the beginning of its establishment, XCMG Heavy Truck used Chunlan Mould to launch the Ruilong J and Z series of National III products with UD cabs in the following year, and successfully won the bid for the Chinese government's aid to North Korea material project under the "Six-Party Talks" with high quality and low price. On February 28, 2009, 20 XCMG heavy dump trucks with the label "XCMG Automobile, Sino-DPRK Friendship" started to start.
However, the technology and manufacturing capacity of the original Chunlan Truck were not enough to meet the market needs at that time, so in early August of the same year, XCMG Heavy Truck officially launched a new production base project and planned to develop its own new heavy-duty truck products here.
With the advantages of the UD cab, in 2010, XCMG Qilong K series products were listed; in November, Qilong K's upgraded product Qilong T series debuted at the "Shanghai BAUER Show"; in July of the following year, Qilong T series entered the mass production stage and developed into dozens of product models that set dump trucks, tractors and special vehicles.
With the help of the V58 project of XCMG Group, in 2011, XCMG Heavy Truck also took the first step to go to sea, and 730 sets of heavy truck products were exported in batches. At the end of the year, the development of China IV products was launched, and XCMG off-highway heavy dump trucks rolled off the production line. In 2012, the operating income of XCMG heavy trucks reached 1 billion yuan.
2013-2018: Swift strike
On January 12, 2013, XCMG heavy truck production base began to lay the foundation, the total planning covers an area of more than 3,000 acres, implemented in two phases. During the construction of the base, the product business did not relax its pace, not only the sales of off-highway heavy dump trucks jumped to the first place in the industry, the first batch of T series tractors were exported to the Southeast Asian market, and LNG green intelligent muck trucks, port tractors and other products were launched.
By 2014, the operating income of XCMG heavy trucks exceeded 2 billion yuan.
On March 18, 2015, the first phase of the XCMG heavy-duty truck production base was completed and put into operation, and the "HANVAN Hanfeng" high-end heavy-duty truck brand was simultaneously deployed, and the first new product Hanfeng G700 was unveiled.
It can be said that the "Hanfeng" series is the well-equipped regular army of XCMG heavy trucks, and it is the beginning of the real sense of XCMG Group's truck dream.
On April 25, 2016, XCMG Heavy Truck brought three series of products of hanfan Hanfeng family G900/G700/G500 to the Beijing International Auto Show.
Hanfeng three brothers equipped with a gold power chain, a new generation of luxury house type cab, fully meet the short, medium and long-distance logistics, once launched has been highly sought after, to achieve annual sales of 9300 units. At the same time, it has opened overseas markets and established XCMG Hanfeng series product franchise stores in Malaysia and Vietnam.
On September 22, 2017, XCMG heavy-duty truck Hanfeng G9, G7 tractor and G5 truck won the "2017 China Commercial Vehicle Annual Award", and The Hanfeng series products were recognized by the industry.

The achievements of XCMG Heavy Truck in 2017 are not only this, but also: obtaining new energy vehicle production qualifications, being identified as a high-tech enterprise in Jiangsu Province, and exporting more than 20 countries.
In 2018, XCMG Heavy Truck launched the Hanfeng G5 "Coal Super Wind" for the coal truck segment. It is worth noting that this year is the tenth year of the establishment of XCMG heavy trucks, and it is also a breakthrough year - heavy truck sales exceeded 18,000 vehicles, operating income exceeded 5.2 billion yuan, and entered the top 10 camps in the heavy truck industry.
2019-2021: Thriving
In January 2019, XCMG Heavy Truck launched the industry's first ultra-long endurance pure electric engineering dump truck; in September, it launched the 2020 upgraded flagship product "G9-550 Tough Guy", Hanfeng ULT Ultralight Version 430 horsepower G7 and G5 tractor; and the special vehicle launched nearly 60 chassis for market segments.
Although 2020 suffered from the epidemic, it was also a fruitful year for XCMG Heavy Truck. In January, the Hanfeng G7-ULT "Light and Easy Fu" tractor was launched; in June, the replacement pure electric tractor was released; the first 6x2 National VI truck crane chassis, the Hanfeng G5-NPLWCF1/CPLW1F1, and the 50-ton new energy mining dump truck were launched in August.
At the same time, it has achieved the "13th Five-Year Plan" target of 10 billion, with annual heavy-duty truck sales of 28,000 vehicles and operating income of 10 billion yuan, consolidating the top nine in the industry.
At the beginning of 2021, XCMG Heavy Truck released a new Hanfeng P series model, which is divided into flagship, high-end and mid-range, and unveiled a total of 9 models in the starting lineup, covering 18 P series new products with 18 bodies.
Now that 2021 has ended, can the sales target of more than 10 billion yuan and the sales target of more than 30% set earlier by XCMG Heavy Truck be achieved? We stay tuned.
