Kawasaki 2022 Ninja H2 SX SE: Body Introduction

On November 23 last year, Kawasaki released the 2022' Ninja H2 SX SE Sport Station Wagon. Shortly thereafter, Kawasaki also announced the suggested retail price of the new car in China: 328,800 yuan.

In early November 2017, the Ninja H2 SX, a sports station wagon modified from the Ninja H2's inline four-cylinder supercharged engine as the base platform, was born, and the new 2022' H2 SX SE is the second generation.

The 2022' Ninja H2 SX SE is equipped with a water-cooled four-stroke in-line four-cylinder booster engine with a bore and stroke of 76 mm x 55 mm, an exhaust capacity of 998 cc, and a maximum power output of 200 hp (European version) and 210 hp (stamped intake state), and the peak power output figures of the Chinese version and the European version are the same. In terms of body, the steel tube type frame, rear single rocker arm, KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension, electronically controlled suspension) semi-active electronically controlled suspension system, Brembo Bubo's Stylema front brake caliper (standard for the SE version) and so on were used.

Relative to the power unit, the 2022' Ninja H2 SX SE has a complete update in the body configuration and electronic control equipment compared to the previous generation:

1. The design with smoother lines gives the new car a sharper and more compact appearance style. And with the addition of radar sensors, the upper fairing on the front end has not become larger than the previous version. The use of a full fairing covered body, so that the whole car looks more sporty, help to show a high-speed and comfortable image, but also provide good aerodynamics, reduce the resistance when high-speed exercise, larger front windshield also further improve the comfort under long-distance driving;

2. As in the previous version, in the high-wear risk area of the external components, a special coating of Kawasaki's high-durability paint is used. In addition, if it is a scratch caused by a coin, key or metal hard object, etc., the paint may not be restored), so that the external pattern of the vehicle remains as new;

In terms of ergonomics, the new 2022' Ninja H2 SX SE is designed with comfort and sporty riding in mind, and its riding posture is neither forward-leaning like the Ninja ZX-14R (ZZ-R 1400) nor upright like the Ninja 1000SX (i.e. Z1000SX). The new H2 SX SE offers a more relaxed elbow and knee bend than the Street Sports Ninja ZX-14R, a sitting position designed for great comfort for both city-wide and long-distance motorcycle rides, while also taking into account the fun of sporty riding;

5. Newly designed front and rear saddles. The new saddle features a new exterior profile that is wider than the saddle of the previous version of the H2 SX SE, and the polyester foam density of the interior is also improved. The rear saddle features a slightly higher front end to reduce the sliding of the passenger forward when braking. In standard condition, the seat height (driver) is maintained at the same 835 mm as in the previous version, and the factory also provides a low seat design of 820 mm for purchase;

6. Newly designed instrument cabin, and more features of the 6.5-inch TFT full-color instrument panel;

7. The front LED cornering light is located on both sides of the fairing, and the turning light on each side is composed of three lights, each lamp is illuminated in a specific direction, and the tilt angle of the vehicle is obtained from the sensor to activate the illumination. When the vehicle is in an inclined state, the front LED turn light can form a wide lighting path in front of the vehicle;

8. KiPASS (Kawasaki's Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System, Kawasaki Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System) smart key system is standard. The system is made using the MISTY encryption algorithm developed by Mitsubishi Electric, which allows the main switch and front direction lock of the vehicle to be activated remotely when the knight approaches the vehicle;

9. TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is equipped as standard.

In terms of electronic control systems, the core system that has been completely improved is the new, more computationally powerful FI-ECU, the new six-axis (sensing and calculating six directions: acceleration of the vertical, lateral and vertical axes + roll rate, pitch rate and slew rate) IMU, and the upgraded, high-computing KIBS system (Kawasaki). Intelligent anti-lock braking system). The synergy between different electronic systems enables the coordination of engine output, braking force, and driving safety.

The highlight of the subsystem is the ARAS (Advanced Rider Assistance Systems, advanced driver assistance systems) supported by Bosch Bosch. The system is equipped with millimeter-wave radar sensors at the front and rear of the car to sense other road users, and then provides data for three functions: FCW (Forward Collision Warning), ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), and BSD (Blind-Spot Detection).

In addition to the previous version of the Ninja H2 SX SE, the existing KTRC (Kawasaki TRaction Control), KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode), KQS Quick Shift System, KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function) and optional power output modes In addition to the riding mode, the new generation of H2 SX SE also adds VHA (Vehicle Hold Assist, similar to other manufacturers' ramp assistance systems) and ESS (Emergency Stop Signal, emergency brake signal, when heavy braking operation, the turn signal automatically flashes rapidly to indicate other road users).
