It is to be a dim salute, a name, a najib, a nazheng, a please period, all the masters feast a few in the temple, and worship outside the door, enter, give way and ascend, obey the temple, so respectful and cautious and dim lily also. ”
From this passage, it is not difficult to see that in the eyes of the ancients, there are generally six steps in weddings: Natchez, Asking Names, Najib, Na zheng, please period, and kissing. Among them, the conscription is what we now call the bride price, which shows how long the history of the bride price in our country has been.
It is reasonable to say that it is not wrong to send a certain dowry to the woman's family before marriage, but if the dowry exceeds the man's ability to bear, it will become a heavy burden. Because of this, some sky-high bride price will be criticized by people. What is less known is that when the founding general Yang Dezhi was the commander of the Eighth Route Army, he had no choice but to break up with the girl he liked because of the "sky-high bride price".
In April 1938, Yang Dezhi, then the commander of the 685th Regiment of the 343rd Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, was ordered to lead his troops to the Lingshi and Pingyao areas, and the troops were resting and training while looking for opportunities to fight, when Yang Dezhi lived in the home of a fellow villager in Pingyao.
Yang Dezhi was born very bitterly, in order to make a living, he first learned to play iron with his father, and later became a miner in an Anyuan Coal Mine. At the age of 17, Yang Dezhi officially joined the ranks of the Red Army, participated in various anti-encirclement and suppression operations, and fought off the repeated attacks of three enemy divisions with one regiment, for which he was awarded the Third Class Red Star Medal.
After the start of the Long March, Yang Dezhi's Red Regiment undertook the task of opening the way, first forcibly crossing the Wujiang River and opening up the passage for the Red Army to go north; then forcibly crossing the Dadu River, making the Central Red Army desperate and shattering old Chiang Kai's dream of turning the Red Army into the "second Shi Dakai."
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Yang Dezhi followed the 115th Division to participate in the Ambush of Pingxingguan, which completely annihilated more than 1,000 Japanese troops, of which more than half of the 685 regiment annihilated the enemy. After that, Yang Dezhi led his troops to fight against the Japanese puppet army many times, and played a famous name, and in April 1938, he led his troops to the Pingyao area to rest and live in the home of a fellow villager.
Yang Dezhi is approachable, very talkative, and gets along well with his fellow countrymen. In a small talk, the fellow was surprised to learn that Yang Dezhi was 27 years old and had no object. At that time, 27 years old was definitely an older youth.
This fellow was very enthusiastic, and said that he wanted to introduce an object to Yang Dezhi. Yang Dezhi thought he was just joking, so he didn't pay attention to it. Unexpectedly, a few days later, the fellow really brought a girl to see Yang Dezhi. The girl's appearance has nothing to say, or high school graduates, there is a certain culture, Yang Dezhi is very satisfied.
At that time, Yang Dezhi was prosperous and very heroic, and he was also the leader of the Eighth Route Army, so the girl was also very satisfied with him. After that, Yang Dezhi met with the girl's father again, he was a small trader, thinking that Yang Dezhi had become the leader of the regiment, and there were thousands of people and horses under his command, which was certainly not bad money, so he opened his mouth and asked for a dowry of a hundred oceans.
At that time, the Eighth Route Army was unpaid, and many high-ranking generals were almost as poor as ordinary soldiers, and we will know it by giving two examples. For example, Yang Chengwu, who was then the commander of the first sub-district of the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region, only had a monthly allowance of 5 yuan, and it was also the currency issued by the border region itself;
Another example is Teng Daiyuan, who is the chief of staff of the Central Military Commission, the old father thought that he had become a high official, sold a cow for coiling, and traveled thousands of miles to Yan'an to see his son. It turned out that Teng Dai was far poorer than him, so he stayed for a few days and went back, and before leaving, Teng Daiyuan took out two pieces of ocean to pay for his father's travel expenses, which was all his family foundation.

Yang Dezhi's situation at that time was not far stronger than that of Yang Chengwu and Teng Dai, and a hundred oceans were far beyond his range.
