The Qing Dynasty became history, and this is something that will happen sooner or later. Because the late Qing Dynasty was closed to the country, lived in luxury, did not think of making progress, and oppressed the people, there were many contradictions, plus there were external forces interfering with the rule of the Qing Dynasty. In the face of foreign invaders, they can only bow their knees. The lives of ordinary people are very poor, especially the poor, who cannot even eat a full meal.
On January 1, 1912, the Republic of China was founded, and on February 12, the Qing Emperor Puyi announced his abdication, transferring all rights to Yuan Shikai. The Qing Dynasty has since become a thing of the past, so where should these Qing troops, which number more than 1 million, go? In fact, in this team, many people are Han Chinese, and they all joined the Beiyang Army. Manchus are very different, generally anonymous, and live their own lives from now on.
Only one Qing army, from Kowloon Village, Hong Kong, survived until 1987. Before the British occupied Hong Kong, Kowloon was still Qing territory, so it sent an army to protect it, but in the end, only 50,000 people remained. After the fall of the Qing Dynasty, this team was attacked by the British, and in order to defend the country, they had to put on their battle robes again and fight the British army to the end. Because the equipment and weapons were not inferior to the British army, they finally retreated to the Kowloon Fortress.
The army required everyone living here to abide by the laws of the Qing Dynasty, and due to the location and special situation of the Kowloon Walled City, it became a "three disregard" zone. The Kowloon Walled City has actually begun to appear in China's Song Dynasty, and was originally a stronghold for defending pirates. Beginning in 1810, the Kowloon Fortress appeared.
As time passed little by little, the team began to turn into a gang without evil, and the security of the entire Kowloon Walled City became very bad. But in 1987, China and Britain made the same decision to demolish the Kowloon Walled City, and the team has since ceased to exist. Before the demolition, the number of inhabitants here had reached 50,000, and the population density was very large. Everything here began to change and became a Kowloon Walled City Park.
