In this context, the Ford China design team led the establishment of a new generation of design concepts - "potential energy aesthetics". This concept distills, pays tribute to and innovates the classic design elements accumulated in the long history of the Ford brand, and the team also deeply understands the unique views and preferences of Chinese consumers on beauty through extensive market research and local research, and integrates the aesthetic accumulation of the Ford brand over the past century with the cutting-edge trends of the local market. This new design concept defines Ford's new products for the Chinese market based on three basic performance principles, namely "dynamic and flexible modeling", "Chuang• intelligent response", and "force and powerful aura".

The dynamic exterior design of the four-door coupe displayed by the new generation of Mondeo vividly interprets these three basic performance principles.
