Since last year, the European Union has required Apple to cancel the Lightning interface and change it to the same Type-C interface as other mobile phones to achieve standardization of the interface.
The advantages of this are three points: one is convenient for market management; the other is to avoid waste to ensure environmental protection and convenient for users to use; third, because the Type-C interface transmission will be more convenient, and can achieve 100W super fast charging. So even if it is not for the convenience of management, the Lightning interface will be eliminated by the market sooner or later, but because Apple has always insisted on using this interface, it has always occupied a place in the market. In the face of the EU's requirements, Apple is very tough, claiming that even if it abandons the European market, it will not change the mobile phone interface.
Apple is so tough to challenge the national rules, Europe really did not expect, to some extent it did insist on not changing the bottom line, but Europe did not expect that after the turn of Cook did not expect. Just recently, China has also stated that it wants to standardize mobile phone interfaces, and Apple is still tough after Hard Europe, and wants to go sideways in the world, but can it still be so in the face of the Chinese market? Unlike Europe, it can not do without the contribution of the Chinese market today, so it must not give up China as easily as it does to give up Europe. Can face the problem of replacing the interface, does Apple really have to compromise?
In fact, apple is not willing to give up the Lightning interface for a simple reason, is to ensure the interests of these accessories, and now under the leadership of Apple, major manufacturers have learned not to give chargers, consumers need to buy themselves. This is obviously detrimental to the interests of consumers, and because of the Lightning interface, the iPhone's mobile phone battery life has been criticized by users. So in any case, the Type-C interface is the trend of the times, and after Europe, China has also officially spoken, in the Chinese market, whose rules can decide? Obviously it won't be Apple.
Apple has a tough attitude on the interface issue, but China is not going to be soft, either leave or choose the Type-C interface, Apple is facing a difficult choice. In the view of the editor, Apple can only choose to accept that no country and enterprise can swim against the current, unless its own strength is hard enough. But as mentioned earlier, the Lightning interface has many shortcomings, so it is impossible for Apple to keep this feature, and to some extent, this may also promote Apple's innovation.
