XiaoNian is a traditional Chinese folk festival day, called "Xiao Nian", also known as "Stove King Festival". The window flowers are mostly themed with auspicious motifs such as magpie Dengmei, Deer Crane Tong Tsubaki (Six Contract Spring), Five Bat (Fu) Bou Shou, Lotus (Lian) Nian Youyu (Yu), Mandarin Duck Splashing in the Water, and Hehe ErXian and so on. Sacrifice to the King of Stoves
With sugar cakes, rice cakes, dates, walnuts and other gods, it is said that the king of the stove went to heaven with the land to inform the family of good and evil for a year, and prayed that he would say more good things and less bad things.
Paste couplets
Sticking couplets is also a folk activity in the small year, and the folk pay attention to: there are gods who must be pasted, every door must be pasted, and everything must be pasted.
Small Year's cuisine
Eat stove sugar: there is a layer of sesame seeds on the outside, and the inside is coagulated with maltose, which has the effect of strengthening the spleen and stomach, nourishing the yin and clearing the fire, moisturizing the lungs and suppressing cough.
Eat dumplings: It means "send off dumplings to the wind". In many areas, dumplings are eaten in various ways as soon as the waxing moon arrives.
Steamed flower buns: After the 23rd day of the Waxing Moon, every household should steam the steamed flower buns. It is often a great opportunity for folk women to show their dexterous craftsmanship, and a flower bun is a handicraft.
