Talk about the pilot scenarios where the digital yuan is closely related to the people's food, clothing, housing and transportation

On January 26, Beijing "officially announced" the "first anniversary" of the beijing digital yuan pilot winter Olympics from a "station" to a "street" to the "city of the two Olympics". The reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Financial Supervision Bureau that by the end of 2021, the city will open more than 12 million digital RMB personal wallets and more than 1.3 million public wallets, covering more than 400,000 winter Olympic scenes such as food, housing, travel, travel, shopping, entertainment, and medicine, with a transaction amount of nearly 10 billion yuan, 9.6 billion yuan.

The Winter Olympics scene is only a "part" of the "10+1" since the digital yuan pilot work was fully launched. At the end of 2019, the digital yuan was successively launched in Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xiong'an New Area, Chengdu and the Winter Olympics, and in October 2020, the pilot scope was increased to Six pilot test areas in Shanghai, Hainan, Changsha, Xi'an, Qingdao and Dalian.

Driven by the digital RMB consumption coupons and "red envelope" activities carried out in these pilot areas, for this fresh payment method and application scenario, more and more ordinary citizens have changed from "tasting" to "dazzling", and the expansion of digital rmb in the common, small and high-frequency people's livelihood scenes of "clothing, food, housing and transportation" has also been "varied", and it is gradually integrated into the lives of the people.

Travel is the scene that is most closely related to our daily life, especially in a "super city" like Beijing, we use and transfer various means of transportation to travel through the city almost every day. With its convenient characteristics, shared bicycles often become the first choice for the "last mile" of our big cities.

Last year, the Postal Savings Bank, the Agricultural Bank of China, the Construction Bank, etc. jointly launched the pilot activity of "using digital yuan to enjoy the low-carbon cycling season". From September 9, 2021 until the end of last year, residents of digital yuan pilot areas such as the Beijing Winter Olympics scene signed up for the experience activities and used digital yuan to pay for cycling. The reporter learned that the green orange riding digital yuan payment function provided by Didi Pay is convenient and fast, which can provide users with new safe payment options.

In fact, as early as June 2020, the digital yuan has begun to be applied in the green orange bicycle, and Didi is also one of the earliest Internet companies in the industry to help the development of the digital yuan.

On April 25, 2021, in the venue of the "4th Digital China Construction Summit", a green orange bicycle showed the new digital yuan sharing bicycle experience brought to users. It is understood that this is a new application launched by Didi Finance in cooperation with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, which for the first time realizes the use of video cards to open and close the lock and lock the green orange bicycle, and complete the payment. It is understood that in the process of jointly developing this new application, the two sides have also received guidance from the Digital Currency Research Institute of the People's Bank of China (the "Digital Research Institute").

At the beginning of 2022, everyone's attention to the digital yuan focused on the news that the pilot version of the app was listed on the mobile app market for the first time.

The reporter learned on January 4 that the digital yuan pilot app has been publicly listed in App stores such as Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi, Vivo, oppo and so on. Users of the "10+1" digital yuan pilot site can open wallets. The pilot version of the App has functions such as transferring money, receiving and paying, and touching, and users can add "sub-wallets" independently and push them to different merchants. At present, some of the large banks participating in the pilot have associated nearly 60 merchant platforms, including JD.com, Meituan, Ele.me, Tmall Supermarket, Didi, Station B, Tuniu, Tencent Video, iQiyi, Baidu, etc.

A day after the news of the pilot version of the Digital Yuan App on the shelves of the major application markets came on January 5, many netizens found that the "Digital Yuan" payment option was added when placing orders on the Meituan App and the Meituan Takeaway App. Meituan's relevant people confirmed the news, according to the disclosure, at present, residents of Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other digital yuan pilot areas can choose digital yuan payment when ordering takeaway. This is also another expansion of the digital yuan in the people's livelihood scene of "food, clothing, housing and transportation" after sharing bicycles and online car-hailing.

The reporter also learned from the Beijing Municipal Financial Supervision Bureau on January 26 that Beijing is actively promoting the pilot work of the digital yuan and strengthening the linkage with convenient services to create more application scenarios close to people's livelihood. As a "city of double Olympics", Beijing's goal is to focus on the deep integration of digital yuan pilot work with the benefit of the people and the people's services, based on the standard of the first good, which will help further improve the digital literacy of citizens and improve the level and efficiency of the city's basic financial services while facilitating the needs of the public's daily life and payment.
