On February 1, the Lunar New Year, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) came into force in South Korea. Just after midnight, in the Customs Certificate of Origin Examination and Signing Center located in the SCO Demonstration Zone, Qingdao Customs officers issued RCEP Certificates of Origin for a batch of jeans exported to South Korea by a Qingdao company through the "single window" of international trade. ● On February 1, mainland scientists published a cover paper in Nature Plants entitled "A Fire-borne Rhamnobiaceae Plant Originated in Amber 100 Million Years Ago". This study is the first in the world to find intact flower fossils with in situ pollen originating from the Mesozoic Rhamnobiaceae family, which provides important fossil evidence for the study of the relationship between the evolution of early flowering plants and plate movement in Southeast Asia. ● On February 1, a research result by mainland scientists was published in Cell Discovery, and the research team combined with the existing human stem cell aging research platform to carefully screen potential regenerative metabolites, and finally found a "star molecule" uridine. ● An international study shows that there are about 73,300 species of trees worldwide, about 14 percent more than previously estimated. The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, a U.S. journal published on January 31. Trees go far beyond absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, they play a role in conserving soil and water, providing habitats for plants and animals, and protecting biodiversity.
