Introducing Musk at the moment, there are two core points that must not be missed.
First, he is already the richest man in the world.
Second, he is a model entrepreneur around the world.
Whether it's the ostentation under the catalyst of wealth, or the struggle for synonyms, it seems that there is a subtle connection with one element, that is, private jets.
Top flyer Musk
Private jets, the most expensive item on the rich's private list, are the fastest elixir on the boss's efficiency prescription.
Musk, who has his first sexual principles back to the rotten melon, is the number one player in private flight in the world.
The currently known data is that in 2018, Musk has become the richest private flyer in the world, flying 250 times in 365 days, with a total mileage of 240,000 kilometers.
There are many extreme records, such as his one-way 32-kilometer transfer route in Los Angeles, and he has also staged the "overtaking" of Chinese civil aviation over the Pacific Ocean before the Shanghai factory started.
Even SpaceX CTO, 001 employee Tom Mueller once said that Musk's earliest private jet had only 6 seats, but as long as someone was willing to sit in the toilet while flying, it could accommodate 7 people, and finally, "we have always been 7 people in one plane."
Although no specific data has been revealed in recent years, considering that Musk needs to take care of more and more companies, I believe that his demand for flight will only be a lot more.
Musk Aircraft Tracker
In recent years, as the difference in wealth and status between Musk and fans has become more and more disparate, there have been few Musk fans who have brushed the screen.
But recently, there is such a 19-year-old college student, with his grudge with Musk, he has appeared on the pages of a series of top financial media such as Bloomberg, The Guardian, CNN, NBC, business insider and so on.
The reason is also simple, he made a Tweet on Musk plane tracker.
The account, called @ElonJet, sends messages about the take-off, landing, and destination of Musk's private jets in near real time. This not only satisfies the psychology of a large number of Tesla fans watching and gossiping, but also allows everyone to judge the decision-making of Tesla and SpaceX.
The plane flew to Berlin, it must have been Giga Berlin with a stage of progress, the plane landed in Florida, it may be SpaceX's new mission to determine the launch date.
In this way, the account quickly became a long-term source of media coverage of Tesla's progress, and its number of followers reached 83,000 (before the recent news boom).
The account's owner, Jack Sweeney, is a 19-year-old University of Florida student, but he has a long relationship with aviation, and Sweeney's father worked at an airline, which gave him attention to flight-related matters from an early age, and he especially likes to track airplanes, often looking at the models of planes flying in the sky and comparing them with the results he found in online flight tracking apps.
Since SpaceX launched its first Falcon Heavy rocket in 2018, he has become a big fan of Musk.
But he did not expect that one day, he would clash with Musk himself because of this matter.
A conversation worth $5,000 or $50,000
One night, as Sweeney was about to fall asleep, he was surprised to find that he had received a private message from Musk.
There are two reasons Musk found, one is that Musk feels that these second-speed pushes of his whereabouts have become a safety issue, after all, who knows what musk's fanatical fans will do at the airport; second, Musk himself has not figured out how Sweeney figured out his itinerary.
Saying that this reason two is a bit ruined my three views, Sitting on SpaceX Musk should not first use the first principle to organize his geek geeks to analyze the technical principles...
In fact, Musk is curious about this matter is justified, although now each of us uses software such as "air travel" and websites to see the take-off and landing time and route map of civil aviation aircraft is a common thing, but private aircraft are not like this, for the sake of privacy, the vast majority of private aircraft are on the LADD block list, which indicates that their flight data will be deleted the identification information of specific aircraft, and trackers will not be able to understand the flight trajectory of a specific aircraft.
But it doesn't matter, since the idol "doesn't have to ask", Sweeney generously introduced his own technical solution: most aircraft are equipped with ADS-B transponders, and ADS-B-equipped aircraft can broadcast their precise position and other data (such as speed, altitude and whether the aircraft turns, climbs or descends) through the data link.
Sweeney's reptile robot determines whether the aircraft takes off or lands by grasping the altitude change and time information of the aircraft, and then determines the route and destination of the aircraft according to the continuous change of longitude and latitude. At the same time, these real-time ADS-B data are cross-referenced with another website that publishes an anonymous version of the FAA flight plan to make more accurate determination of the aircraft route, which completes the tracking of private aircraft.
Implementing such a system requires a great deal of knowledge specific to the aviation industry, and it just so happens that Sweeney's years of hobby and experience have made him.
Subsequently, Musk sent out a soul torture question: How much can you make in a month on this Twitter account?
Sweeney said that with a few ad clicks, it is only $20 a month.
I think what Sweeney was trying to say was "I'm just a fan of yours, I don't make money on this stuff," but Musk's businessman nature clearly ignores this, and he immediately asks the core question:
"I'll give you $5,000, can you close this account?" I don't want crazy people to follow me."
Sweeney replied, "How about $50,000?" I can use it to buy a Model 3."
In his opinion, $5,000 is really not enough to buy his sense of accomplishment in this matter, and before getting a reply from Musk, he added, "If you don't want money, you can give me a chance to intern at Tesla."
The Guardian interview described his mood at the time: Sweeney said receiving direct messages from Musk, whom he called his idol, was a surreal experience. "Actually I was going to sleep and I thought, 'Oh my God, Musk just sent me a message asking me to cancel my account,'" he said. "It's crazy."
But unexpectedly, this is the last thing he and Musk said.
He was hacked by Maskra
While not acceding to Sweeney's request, Musk apparently did not give up on the idea of buying him off.
Scott Painter, chief executive of car rental company Autonomy, suggested on Twitter that if Sweeney deleted Musk's tracking account, his company could rent him a Model 3 for free.
The Wall Street Journal editor contacted Scott Pate to learn that the free lease was 3 years, and this proposal was rejected by Sweeney.
Finally, Musk commented on a message about @ElonJet on Twitter one day, and said with an article that "I think this is already a security issue about me", which can be described as enough public opinion.
This sparked heated discussion and verbal attacks on Sweeney in the Tesla community, and Sweeney also found that Musk completely blocked him on Twitter.
Sway told Bloomberg that Musk has since blocked all social media accounts related to him.
After musk's story came to an end, Sweeney's story had just begun.
First, he decided to replicate the model and start more tracking, and the first to be added to the list were two of the world's richest men who also loved private flying: Bezos and Bill Gates, and the funny superstar Trump, yes, the one you're familiar with, was nominated.
"They're either very good people or they're very interesting."
Second, to avoid his account being banned by Twitter, he started a website called Ground Control, which displayed the same content, and he told the Guardian that if Twitter canceled his account for security reasons, his website would serve as a backup to continue tracking operations.
Finally, perhaps to counter Musk's contempt for his earning power, he shelved a series of Musk T-shirts, hoodies and stickers that smoked "tobacco" classic memes. The products also feature the text "I know how high Musk flew," as well as screenshots of Musk's jets and @ElonJet Twitter.
He was even offered a lot of job offers, with the New York Post reporting that Joel Thomas, CEO of Stratos Jet Charters, a private jet charter company, invited him to join the company's development team after seeing his "creativity" in opening accounts.
But Sweeney doesn't need to worry much about his job, after all, after this wave of confrontation with Musk, his account already has 360,000 fans, and it feels that it is not difficult to break through 500,000.
But that's far from the end of the story.
The Tesla community, which has always been crazy, is also slowly giving its own answer to this matter.
Some people said that since Sweeney likes to send Musk's plane route map so much, Musk should let the plane take off and draw an indescribable pattern in the air as shown below.
Others said Musk should give Sweeney a Model 3 he wanted, and then open a Twitter account that reveals Sweeney's location and destination every minute.
So you see, love each other, kill each other, kill each other.
(By the way, Sweeney just said recently that Musk would regret it if he didn't buy him a Tesla, because he was going to issue coins...) )
