Jing Yidan: The Olympics are changing our lives

In winter, there are many people jogging around the lake on the lake side path of Yuyuantan Park, although it is afternoon, but the temperature is close to zero degrees Celsius, the cold wind blows along the lake, we open the recording written test, and the microphone is filled with the sound of "whining". We are a little strange, next to the "old CCTV building" Media Center of the Jing Yi Dan recording program, why does she insist on dating outside in this interview? Just wondering, I saw the long figure in the ice blue down jacket striding in the distance, although she couldn't see her face clearly with a mask, she recognized us from a distance, and the bright voice came first: "Do you know why we are here?" With that, Jing Yidan already appeared in front of him with a smile, raised a finger, and said, "Go!" Take you to see the 'Winter Olympic Promenade'! ”

It turned out that because it was adjacent to the CCTV studio, Yuyuantan Park was a familiar place for Jing Yidan, and this well-known host, who had retired but was still active in tv programs and was affectionately called "Jing Dajie" by the audience, introduced us to the history and current situation of the Winter Olympics in front of the "Winter Olympic Promenade". "I went skiing in Chongli a while ago, and I feel close to the Winter Olympics." Jing Yidan pointed to the pictures of the spectacular and wonderful ski resorts and excitedly shared the changes she had seen with her own eyes: "I went to Chongli two summers ago, when the Olympic venues were still under construction, and others told me that this was the railway station, that was the podium, and then there was where the athletes lived. I thought I would have to go again when it snowed. Now, those 'construction sites' have built beautiful competition fields, and they are about to meet the athletes and start the real competition! ”

Ice and snow memories of Harbin

Jing Yidan was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, and ice and snow sports are full of her childhood, and many memories are related to ice and snow.

Jing Yidan remembers that on the way to school as a child, everyone played "out of the slippery": "Do you know what it means to play 'out of the slippery'? The snow on the road was half-melted and frozen, and the children slid on it, slipping longer and longer, sliding out of a long Xiaoice, which we called 'out of the slip' - a 'out of the slip' and a 'out of the slip' to get to school. ”

In the winter, the school will artificially "water the ice rink", Heilongjiang is cold, the ice rink has a particularly long ice time, and the content of the winter physical education class is skating. "At that time, in the winter, the playground was watered with ice rinks, directly watered, and there was a way to level the ice surface and then sweep the snow. But I belong to a child who is not very athletically talented, and I am very scared when I look at the ice, and I dare not go up, so I don't skate very well. ”

At that time, having a pair of his own skates was a very luxurious thing, Jing Yidan enviously watched his brothers take their skates to the ice rink, watching the battle himself, Jing Yidan later thought of this every time he was full of regrets: "When I was a child, it was the most suitable for learning to skate, if I encouraged myself at that time, or someone encouraged me, I could skate here today." ”

But the ice and snow atmosphere in Harbin makes Jing Yidan nostalgic: "My friends are particularly talented in ice and snow sports, and perhaps this ice and snow sports environment has also achieved their talents." I remember that many male students would play ice hockey, and watching ice and snow sports games would become a hot topic, which was the unique atmosphere of Harbin. Now, many of the ice and snow athletes are from Heilongjiang, and I am very proud of them. ”

The first time I went to the scene to win the championship

The first time Jing Yidan went to the scene to watch the Winter Olympics, she met the Chinese team Wang Meng who won the championship, which made a deep impression on her. It was the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, and Jing Yidan went to Turin with a few friends who especially like ice and snow sports. "I don't know what was going to happen in that game, but that's the day I saw Wang Meng win the title." Jing Yidan told reporters, "At the beginning, I was not very familiar with our ice and snow athletes, but many Chinese in the stands, and a five-star red flag was raised on this side and a five-star red flag was waved over there. Everywhere I go, I hear people mention Wang Meng's name, saying that there may be miracles here today, and we may win the gold medal! Jing Yidan felt that he had the privilege of witnessing Wang Meng win the championship Chinese cheering at the scene, but he did not expect to see Wang Meng again before the Start of the Beijing Winter Olympics and talk to her about the game.

"Some time ago I interviewed Wang Meng, and I told her, do you know that I was among the many five-star red flags in the audience at that time!" Jing Yidan had only seen Wang Meng from a distance in Turin, and this interview was a close face-to-face "nagging", Jing Yidan found: "How is her personality so cute and sunny!" It's not that she hasn't experienced twists and turns, but she's always maintained a sunny attitude and is particularly infected with her. A few days ago, at the torch relay site of Beijing Winter Olympic Park, Wang Meng, as the player who won the most gold medals in The Winter Olympics in China, served as the first torchbearer.

"When I talked to her, she talked about her mom and I was very touched." Speaking of this, Jing Yidan's eyes were red. She told reporters that every time she arrived at an important node in her life, Wang Meng would always receive a letter written to her by her mother, or a text message sent to her, full of encouragement and support, and Wang Meng still kept the letters that her mother gave her. "When I saw the letters her mother wrote to her, I had a particularly familiar feeling — a wise mother who had an encouragement to her at every point in her daughter's life." Wang Meng donated all her trophies to her hometown of Qitaihe and placed them in an exhibition hall, and Jing Yidan suggested that Wang Meng also put the letter written by her mother in the exhibition hall, because there is a story behind each trophy.

The Olympics are a civilization

Jing Yidan's lover is also from Harbin, after the two middle-aged contact with skiing, Jing Yidan's husband has become a "ski enthusiast" because he especially likes skiing, and when he has time, he goes skiing, and Jing Yidan sometimes follows his husband to join in the fun. However, Jing Yidan was still a little afraid at first--she was particularly scared and felt a little unacceptable, but later tried it and found that it was OK, and after wandering in the Beginner Dao for a long time, she reluctantly went to the Intermediate Dao.

"In fact, I am a very timid person, the first time I went to the snow, I was afraid of heights, and the feeling of flying directly through the world at high speed was a bit frightening." Jing Yidan enjoys the atmosphere of the ski resort and goes to the snow slopes of Chongli every year. But because the overall snow time is too small, it has not made much progress.

Jing Yidan's mentality is not the same as most skiers: "It's not that I skate well, I look at the scenery, watch others skate, and after reaching the top of the mountain, especially in the forest, I still have a sense of happiness." Over the years, she has watched the snow field change, at the beginning people's clothing and snowboards were very rudimentary, but they are changing year by year, and now everyone's equipment is very professional. More and more young people, wearing fashionable and beautiful clothes, are enjoying skiing, "very eye-catching".

"When I walked through the Winter Olympics theme corridor, I was actually very emotional, I have been to these venues many times, maybe this time due to the epidemic and other relationships, there are not so many audiences on the scene, but we watch through live cameras." In addition to the wonderful events, what else will this Winter Olympics bring us? In Jing Yidan's view, the Winter Olympics have left us with a lot of venues where the public can engage in ice and snow sports, and we will have more choices and more convenient in the future.

Jing Yidan told us that another legacy of the Olympics is not only in the project. "After the Winter Olympics, especially after the Paralympic Games, I am particularly looking forward to leaving some Olympic legacy to the society." Jing Yidan did a special program on barrier-free facilities such as guide dogs at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, jing Yidan said: "Thanks to the promotion of the Olympic Games, we ordinary people have benefited and become familiar with it. So can these facilities and people know that they can stay? Jing Yidan remembers that at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, the guide dogs completed the torch relay with our athletes, "After the Olympic Games, can guide dogs survive anymore?" If we could, we would have more blind people walking out of the house, and what a harmonious picture. ”

Jing Yidan hopes that after this Olympic Games, there will be some new measures to benefit us and continue to become everyone's habit for a long time. The Olympic Games is a civilization, it will certainly leave us with tangible, intangible, material, spiritual heritage, the Olympic Games is not only the ten days of competition, more importantly, it has changed our daily life.

Winter OlympicS Q&A

Q: I heard that you recently went skiing in Chongli, do you remember what it was like to ski for the first time in your life?

A: I stood there before I once slid down, and I didn't dare to go down anyway, I was thinking, what should I do? At this time, next to me, there was a disabled athlete who slid down, on one leg, and that moment particularly touched me, and I thought, why can't I slide down? I blame myself. That disabled athlete gave me an inspiration, not just skiing, I especially wanted to be like him. At that time, for the first time, I really felt that there was a huge challenge in front of ice and snow sports, but you may not really stand on the mountain and slide down, you may not experience the challenge to yourself. I'm a little timid, people are really different. To this day, I still don't dare to skate too high and too fast, but I can enjoy the fun of the skiing process.

Q: Watching the news, you have done a show with Yang Yang, Wang Bingyu and other Winter Olympic champions, can you talk about your impressions of them?

A: Not long ago, I had the opportunity to do a live broadcast with some ice and snow athletes to promote my hometown. These athletes came in with the wind, we talked about the sauerkraut, red sausage, ice and snow in our hometown, that is, the hometown met the hometown, sometimes I forgot how they rode on the sports field to win the championship, just like the little compatriots we will meet on the street in Harbin, their personalities are particularly straightforward, this kind of personality is very northeastern, very ice and snow. What I particularly admire about Yang Yang is that not only on the competition field, she is an influential athlete at the International Olympic Committee, and she has made achievements on the larger stage, which is very glorified for Chinese.

Q: What are the projects you are interested in at the Beijing Winter Olympics?

A: I especially like to watch figure skating, which is particularly aesthetic, in fact, skiing can not see the whole picture on the spot. On the contrary, it can be seen more clearly through television broadcasting, and now that the means of television broadcasting are becoming more and more advanced, I look forward to my peers being able to present us with more excitement.

Q: When you came to see the Olympic Games, how did you feel?

A: I was also deeply touched by the volunteers of the Winter Olympics, whether it was the Winter Olympics or later the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, volunteers always made my heart warm. Volunteers not only rely on their enthusiasm, but also rely on their profession, this Winter Olympics we will certainly see a lot of Chinese volunteers, student volunteers. Being an Olympic volunteer is a rare opportunity, and it is also a seed planted in the heart, the seed of civilization.
