In this regard, Great Wall Motors replied to reporters: "Previously, BYD also transferred its registered trademark 'Wei' to us, and the two sides worked together to make efforts to achieve the common progress of Chinese brands." ”

It is understood that the "landing ship" was originally prepared by Great Wall Motors to build a high-end series of off-road vehicles for tanks, based on long-term considerations, Great Wall Motors registered many military equipment trademarks in one go. Coincidentally, in addition to the Dynasty series, BYD is planning to launch a new marine series model and warship series. Among them, the first model Dolphin has been launched, and the destroyer 05 has also been officially unveiled. Great Wall Motor's move is considered by the industry to be a move of "repaying the favor" and "courtesy exchange".

It is reported that due to BYD's early registration of the "Wei" trademark based on the Dynasty series, Great Wall Motor's high-end SUV brand could only use "WEY" a few years before its launch. On September 15, 2021, BYD transferred the "Wei" trademark to Great Wall Motors.
