On February 14, Volvo officially announced that its compact pure electric SUV, XC40 RECHARGE (pure electric version), has added two P6 models, priced at 257,000-276,000 yuan. The P6 model is equipped with a single motor on the front axle, and the CLTC's cruising range has been significantly improved compared to the P8 model, reaching 529km.
The XC40 RECHARGE P6 model is not significantly different from the P8 model in terms of exterior interior, and the main changes come from the power part. As mentioned earlier, the P6 ditched the P8 model's dual motors in favor of a front-axle single motor with a maximum power of 170 kW (231 hp) and a maximum torque of 330 Nm. Although the power parameters are significantly lower than those of the P8 model (maximum power 300 kW, maximum torque 660 Nm), the official comprehensive power consumption of the P6 model is only 14.8 kWh/100 km. With the new 69kWh battery pack, the P6 model has a cruising range of 529km under the CLTC test standard (the P8 model has a range of 420km under the NEDC test standard).
