Hou Zhanying is currently the director of the design department of Beijing Grip Lafite Jewelry Co., Ltd., leading the team to design arts and crafts, including national medals, national ceremonies, as well as ornaments and ornaments used by ordinary people.

"The national ceremony is the embodiment of national culture and national image, first of all, it must have rich cultural connotation and meaning, and the design and production process must also be full of Chinese charm." Hou Zhanying attaches great importance to the combination of ornamental and practical works, and the integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. The design of "Dream and the World" combines traditional Chinese crafts such as carving lacquer, filigree inlay, and engraving with 3D printing technology.

"Bring the voices of frontline personnel to the meeting"
Hou Zhanying was elected as a deputy to the National People's Congress in 2018, and this year is her fifth year in office. Hou Zhanying found in the visit and investigation that at present, the mainland arts and crafts industry is still dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, and most of the family workshop-style manual production, and there are shortcomings in brand establishment and market connection. Hou Zhanying proposed that it is necessary to open up the last kilometer of survival and development of non-genetic inheritance and arts and crafts enterprises, and encourage non-genetic inheritors and practitioners to build confidence, strengthen brand building, and promote the development of the industry by establishing a non-genetic inheritance qualification level review system, formulating price ranges, and including government procurement.
