Positioned as a mid-size SUV, it will roll off the production line at its Yamaguchi prefecture plant in Japan on March 11, offering four models, namely Prime-line, Exclusive-line, TAKUMI, and HOMURA, and will be sold in Japan and Europe for a price range of about 364,000 to 39.80 million yuan.
As the first SUV model with a front-facing rear-drive platform, the vehicle style of this CX-60 has a more obvious difference from the current CX-5, CX-50, CX-8 and other models, and the characteristics of long front suspension and short rear suspension are very obvious, creating a strong and dynamic frame structure. In terms of color matching, in addition to the classic soul red and machine gray, the new car also provides "rhodium white" paint for the first time as the classic color of the series.
From the details, the CX-60 has also been optimized on the basis of the brand's "soul" design language to fit its sporty mid-size SUV identity. For example, the front grille profile and chrome trim are more angular, and the black mid-mesh padding and LED headlights on both sides also look more aggressive.
In terms of size, the new car is 4745mm/1890mm/1680mm, the wheelbase is 2870mm, and the overall is slightly larger than the BMW X3, although it is not as good as the Audi Q5L and Mercedes-Benz GLC L specially supplied by China, but it is also a proper standard wheelbase medium-sized SUV standard.

The CX-60 PHEV is powered by a longitudinal 2.5L L4 self-priming petrol engine, which is an electrified e-Skyactiv G model with a maximum power of 141 kW and a maximum torque of 261 Nm, with a maximum power of 100 kW ISG drive motor, integrating book data of 241 kW/500 Nm, and the vehicle accelerates at 0-100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.

The CX-60's front axle section was also more spacious due to a longitudinal layout, with the suspension upgraded from a MacPherson on a transverse platform to a double wishbond structure with a longer tie rod, and the rear overhang being a common multi-link in this type. According to the official acceptance, the four wheel suspensions are made of aluminum alloy material in large quantities to reduce the quality under the spring, and with the KPC motion attitude control system, the handling experience is enhanced.

Nowadays, global emission regulations are becoming more and more stringent, the international situation is not stable, oil prices are rising, major car companies are gradually eliminating large-displacement multi-cylinder engines, even BMW 7 Series, Audi Q7 have been replaced by inline four-cylinder engines, but Mazda chose the opposite strategy, and actually re-played the vertical platform architecture and inline six-cylinder engine.
Of course, in the idea of electrification of fuel vehicles, Mazda and the vast majority of car companies are still in step, this CX-60 PHEV green car in the hardware is obviously more hardcore than Toyota RAV4 Rongfang dual engine E+, BYD Tang DM-i AWD, ideal ONE program increase hybrid is much hardercore, if the introduction of domestic can be controlled at about 300,000, I believe there are still consumers to consider.
However, in the author's opinion, I personally still expect Mazda to carry out vertical platform transformation for low-end Axela, Artez, etc., with a hybrid system, I believe it is easier to attract user attention.
