The distance between small-town youth and electric vehicles may be a gasoline price increase.
Since the beginning of this year, oil prices have continued to rise. In less than 3 months, the national oil price has risen 6 times, no. 92 gasoline rose to 8.65 yuan / liter, and no. 95 gasoline is more than 9 yuan / liter. Some car owners shouted that the fuel truck was about to fail to drive.
At this time last year, No. 95 gasoline, 50 liters of fuel tank filled, needed 360 yuan, now need 460 yuan, a tank of fuel difference out of 100 yuan.
100 yuan may not seem like much, but it costs a few thousand dollars more to run down a year. These thousands of dollars may be a month's salary of small-town youth, which is enough to dissuade many people.
What to do? You can't always "sit back and wait for the rise". Shen Hui, the founder of WM Motor, said, don't refuel, add electricity, cheap.
Shen Hui calculated an account, according to the calculation of 100,000 kilometers in 5 years, driving an electric car is more than 80,000 yuan more than the fuel car. It's almost equivalent to 4 LV or Hermès entry-level bags.
Small-town youth may not be cold to Hermès bags, but the money is enough to buy 3 Hongguang MINIs, which still sounds very fragrant.
The crazy rise in oil prices has finally led some small-town youth to start thinking about electric vehicles, including those who once scoffed. If in the past, because of various problems such as battery life, charging, and safety, many people were blocked out of the high walls of electric vehicles and fuel vehicles. Today, the wall is starting to loosen somewhat.
After all, in the eyes of small-town youth, cost-effectiveness is the last word.
The oil truck "can't afford to raise", and the tram starts to fly
Tease is after 95, just graduated from college. Last September, she bought a Chery Ant. It was her first electric car. Landing 60,000, 300 km endurance, with charging pile.
But this is not her first car, after the family has bought her a fuel car. She felt that the price of oil was too expensive, the cost of use was too high, and she had been stopping at home and did not open much.
"I don't have much money just graduated, I can't afford to raise it, and it's better to drive a fuel car than to let me take a taxi." She said to Deep Way.
Electricity was cheaper than oil, which was the direct reason for her to buy an electric car. Small ants support both fast charging and slow charging, fast charging can be filled in an hour, costing 40 yuan, slow charging for 8 hours, 20 yuan, after filling, you can run for a week in the city. This has to be replaced by a fuel truck, and it takes more than 160 yuan to refuel. The cost difference is several times.
The experience of teasing is not unique.
Yue Yue is 30 years old, living in a small township in Changzhou, and the family has a Mazda that has been driving for six years, and the gas money is 2,000 yuan per month.
When buying a second car, Yue Yue decisively gave up the oil car. She said to Shentu: "If the family buys two oil trucks, the cost of oil money is relatively large." So she bought a Hongguang MINI.
This car only cost 40,000 yuan to land, with an endurance of 170 kilometers, and daily transportation is completely enough. What she did not expect was that her husband had been driving a fuel car and now went to work every day to drive Hongguang MINI. "Recently, the price of oil has soared, and our family's oil money is two thousand a month, and the money saved is fragrant!"
The cheapness of real money and silver makes the people who buy electric cars first taste the sweetness.

Recently, oil prices have continued to rise, and No. 95 gasoline has entered the 9 yuan era, which has made many people sit down and calculate which is more suitable for oil trucks and electric vehicles. Many people living in small cities and towns on the fifth and sixth lines have asked whether electric vehicles are worth buying. In the past, electric vehicles were not on their radar at all.
The low cost of use is only one aspect, the low cost of daily maintenance is also a reason that prompts many people to buy electric vehicles, especially micro-electric vehicles.
The teasing little ant once scraped, and she changed the entire front bar to spend more than 1,000 yuan. Before that, her oil truck accidentally rubbed a small piece of paint, and it cost 2,000 yuan to repair the paint alone.
"I'm a novice, the driving skills are not very good, scraping two thousand is gone, the heartache, it must be cost-effective to drive small ants." Tease to deep way said.
The playful mentality can represent some small-town youth. They buy small electric vehicles as daily transportation tools, but also play a role in practicing cars. Compared with fuel vehicles, these cars have basically all the functions, but the cost of use is much lower, and it is not painful to scratch.
People on different budgets have different mentalities when buying electric vehicles. Some people figure out cheap, and some people try to be fresh.
A young man in a small town in rural Kunming, Yunnan Province, became the first Tesla owner in the village last October. After he picked up the car, he returned to the village, "the return rate was called a high, the road met three uncles, and the collective salute was paid attention to me and 'pointed' until my back disappeared."
He went to town to charge the car, and the owner of the charging station surrounded his car and asked for warmth, praising this and that, "I am embarrassed to praise, hurry up and get out of the car and talk to them." ”
The attention that this kind of early adopter brings makes people feel good. Although tesla charging piles have not been installed in the village, the charging time cost is high, "if you want to whizz like refueling, it is good, but it is more acceptable than saving money." ”
He heard that the village planned to build a charging pile, and he planned to be the first person in the village to charge. This year, it is believed that more electric vehicles will appear in the village.
Charging in the countryside is not as difficult as you think
In the past, many people refused electric vehicles because it was difficult to charge, charging piles could not be installed at home, or it was usually difficult to find charging piles.
In many first- and second-tier cities, this is indeed a problem. In densely populated communities, parking spaces are scarce, not to mention charging piles. But in the countryside, the situation changed somewhat.
Taking Tesla as an example, with the increase in sales, Tesla has accelerated the construction of charging piles in the past few years, and Tesla charging piles have been seen in many small towns. With the town as the center, a charging station can cover several surrounding villages, which is basically enough in the rural areas where the number of Teslas is not so much.
Xue Renfu is a Hubei Jianli person, last year's Spring Festival he drove a Tesla back to his hometown from Guangzhou for the first time, what surprised him most was that there were already Tesla charging piles in the town, and it was new. Before going home, he was ready to have no charging pile and specially prepared to charge himself.
More and more charging stations are being built at an accelerated pace.
Liu Xin works in a small county town in Guizhou, her home is in the city, and she travels back and forth twice on weekends. In order to save money on highway fares, he bought a BYD Dolphin at the end of last year. It was her first car. She told Shentu that there are several fast charging stations in the county, basically no queues, and the charging pile sent by BYD has been installed at home. Usually there is no charging anxiety.
Unlike first- and second-tier cities, the charging conditions in small townships are very flexible.
Liu Xin told Shentu that her dolphin, fast and slow charging are supported, and can also be charged directly with the three-plug power supply of the grounding wire at home. So usually, even if the car runs out of power, there is no need to find a charging pile.
Moreover, small-town youth have one of the greatest conveniences - the place is big.
Liu Ying of a small township in Hubei Province, her home is a three-story self-built house, there is a separate yard downstairs, there is a special garage, and ten Hongguang MINI can also be parked. "The garage can be charged, and the yard can be charged, as long as there is a socket."
At a time when urban youth are still looking around for charging piles, some small-town youth have achieved charging freedom. On their own turf, parking, charging, including installing charging piles, has a high degree of freedom. The point is, there won't be a property to interfere. The "trench" of small-town youth is incomparable to that of urban white-collar workers.
"The country is convenient for charging, the place is big, the home is connected to the ground line, charged at night, and sent children to school in the morning." An electric car owner in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, described his daily life this way.
The confidence of small-town youth comes from the convenience of charging on the one hand, and on the other hand, because they have alternatives.
Unlike the purchase restrictions in large cities, there are not many restrictions on car license plates in small places. Many of the electric vehicle owners I came into contact with deeply all had at least one fuel car at home. Electric cars are usually their second car.
Liu Ying runs the county town and buys vegetables every day, all of which use Hongguang MINI, but when going to far places, such as running long distances out of the city, she will still drive a fuel truck. "You have to have a guarantee, the fuel car is used to guarantee the bottom, you can drive the tram every day." Liu Ying said to Shen Tu.
Now, most small-town youth are actually this kind of collocation. Before the public charging facilities are perfected, they generally will not completely replace the oil truck with an electric vehicle, and the "dual card dual standby" of the oil truck tram is the wise choice.
It is too early for electric vehicles to completely replace oil vehicles
From a cost point of view, electric vehicles do have many advantages. The rise in oil prices has spurred some people to have the idea of buying electric vehicles, but there is still a process to translate this distance into real orders.
Overall, in lower-tier cities and rural areas, the use of electric vehicles is still a minority compared to fuel vehicles. Most people are still concerned, especially about security.
Many prospective owners have expressed the same concern about Shentu: Is it easy for electric vehicles to spontaneously ignite? Their concerns are not empty, before, Tesla, Weilai, Ideal, Weima, BYD, Great Wall and most of the car companies' electric vehicles, have had spontaneous combustion incidents.
Some people took out "iron evidence" to the deep way, saying that they brushed the spontaneous combustion video of electric vehicles on Douyin every three to five minutes, so spontaneous combustion is a fairly frequent thing, so electric vehicles are not safe enough.
Others think there must be something wrong with Tesla's brakes. After tesla female car owners defended their rights on the roof last year, this foreign car brand has left an unreliable impression in the hearts of many small-town youth.
It is difficult to dispel these concerns in a short period of time, even if oil prices rise.
In fact, in the mainstream price range of 150,000-200,000 yuan, fuel vehicles still firmly dominate. There are not many electric models that can be compared with consumers.
In small townships, those electric models that sell well are basically below 100,000 yuan, and many are less than 50,000 yuan. Taking Hongguang MINI as an example, this electric car with a price of more than 30,000 yuan sold 390,000 units last year, ranking first among electric vehicles.
Hongguang MINI is very popular in lower-tier cities, attracting many new car owners and making them start experimenting with electric vehicles. But this does not form a replacement for fuel vehicles, or form direct competition. As mentioned above, many small-town youth will buy a Hongguang MINI, but they will not give up on fuel vehicles. The real replacement of this kind of micro-electric vehicle is actually those traditional low-speed scooters, or two-wheel battery cars.
Moon Moon's Hongguang MINI once accidentally hit a telephone pole, causing the cover to deform, and when it was dismantled at the auto repair shop, it was found that the anti-collision beam was broken because it was very thin. She spent another 800 yuan to reinstall the anti-collision beam.
The teasing Chery little ant has a disadvantage, the speed of the car will drift, she said: "The whole body is plastic, I hope that the owner of the little ant can turn the plastic shelf into an iron frame." ”
There are now electric vehicles in the market with higher configurations that cover the mainstream price band, but they have not yet become the mainstream of people buying, and sales are relatively small. If one day, small-town youth choose to own only one electric car and no longer need fuel vehicles, then it means that electric vehicles have reached the time to replace fuel vehicles.
But the trend of people starting to buy electric cars, little by little, has emerged. Regardless of the considerations, there are indeed more small-town youths driving electric cars. Cases like the "first Tesla in the village" mentioned above will be more and more in the future. The rise in oil prices this year has added a fire to the transformation of some people.
However, it is interesting that electric vehicles have also begun to increase in price. Since the beginning of this year, because of the rise in raw material prices and the decline in new energy subsidies, more than 40 electric vehicles of nearly 20 new energy vehicle companies have or will soon increase prices. Just on March 21, Xiaopeng Automobile raised its price across the board, with a maximum increase of more than 30,000 yuan.
Electric vehicles after the price increase will dissuade some price-sensitive people. However, some people may be more willing to buy electric vehicles because they suddenly find that buying electric vehicles can actually appreciate in value.
When electric vehicles meet high oil prices, how do you choose when buying a car?
