Recently, market research institute Trendforce released a report that rated the world's top ten chip design companies in 2021.
Jibang Consulting pointed out that due to the shortage of chips and rising prices, the revenue of the world's top ten chip design companies in 2021 increased by 48% year-on-year to 127.4 billion US dollars. The threshold for the top ten chip companies is 1.547 billion US dollars (about 9.8 billion yuan).
The top ten chip design companies are as follows:
It can be seen that the two major mobile phone chip manufacturers, Qualcomm is still in the first place, an increase of 51% year-on-year, reaching $29.3 billion (QCT division); MediaTek ranks fourth, an increase of 61% year-on-year, reaching $17.6 billion.
Among the top ten chip design companies, Chinese companies occupy 4 seats, all located in Taiwan Province, namely MediaTek, Lianyong, Ruiyu and Qijing.
Dialog, the goalkeeper of 2020, was announced by Japan's Renesas Electronics in 2021 for a $6 billion acquisition. Renesas Electronics' full-year 2021 revenue was JPY 994.418 billion (approximately RMB51.8 billion), up 38.9% year-on-year.
This report may be biased. Jibang Consulting stressed that this financial report only counts the top ten companies with public financial reports.
As a non-listed company, Zhan Rui's previously released financial report showed that its revenue in 2021 increased by 78% year-on-year to 11.7 billion yuan.
