Ubisoft's attempts in the battle royale space haven't been very successful, and its sci-fi FPS game Mega Hunter City will be closed later this month, but it looks like Ubisoft already has a game to replace it.
A new report released by prominent source Tom Henderson on Exit says Ubisoft is currently working on a brand new third-person PvPvE shooter, code-named Pathfinder.
The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal, and it's clear that the game is still in the "very early stages" of development, with a similar art style to Mega Hunter City. Players will play as "heroes" with unique abilities in four-player teams. Before each game starts, there's a suburban map, and the player's mission is to reach its central area and battle the big BOSS controlled by the AI.
To reach the center area, the player must pass through two walls, but the position of the door in the wall will change randomly in each game, while other AI enemies and the opponent player team will also block your progress, fighting with them will upgrade your character, making you more powerful, of course, AI enemies will also upgrade and become more and more powerful.
Henderson broke the news that there will also be a central core area in Pathfinder, similar to the tower in Destiny, where players can communicate with each other, use shops, go to the range, participate in various activities, use vehicle competitions, and so on.
Although Ubisoft has not yet announced the game, according to the accuracy of Tom Henderson's previous revelations, the credibility of this revelation is still very high.
