The decline in fuel vehicles is closely related to the recent oil price increase. Coupled with the current bad economy, many car owners can't eat it, and this sentiment will also be conveyed to a new generation of consumers.
More deadly than the rise in oil prices is the policy of chasing and blocking. Energy conservation and emission reduction have become the trend of the times, and fuel vehicles have almost become the target of public criticism. Under the guidance of the "double integral" policy, every time a car company produces a pure fuel vehicle, it has a high probability of generating a certain negative integral. Therefore, car companies based on fuel products have to find Tesla and BYD to buy points. In 2021, the price per integral has reached 2140 yuan, which means that many traditional car companies are "transfusing" new energy vehicle companies in disguise, and this situation will be further aggravated.
Then there is the problem of the regulations themselves, since the national six B emission regulations began to be mandatory, car companies have made more or less concessions. Many classic models have chosen "power reduction" and "torque reduction" after upgrading China VI, and fuel consumption has increased compared with the National V period. Many car companies have newly added "particle traps" and other means, resulting in continuous problems, which have a great negative impact on the user's driving experience.
More critical may still be behind, there are rumors that the seven regulations of the country have been under discussion, compared with the national six indicators have been greatly improved. Some people in the industry expect that if China VII is implemented, the exhaust gas treatment device of the car will be more sophisticated and more complex than the car engine itself, of course, the cost is higher, and the maintenance price is also higher.
If the National VI regulations and the double integral policy have made car companies tired of coping, then the follow-up National VII regulations are likely to be the last straw that overwhelms fuel vehicles, and many car companies will have to face transformation.
(2) The rise of hybrids, three generations of leaders are the key
Compared with the weakness of pure fuel vehicles, hybrid models that also use gasoline as an energy source are particularly proud. The cumulative sales of Toyota hybrid models have exceeded 20 million units, the sales of Honda i-MMD hybrid models have been rising, and the BYD DM-i super hybrid model has pushed the influence of this field to a new height.
Toyota is a pioneer in hybrid technology, and as early as 1997, it launched the first generation of THS hybrid models, the Prius. In China, it was also in 2010 that the sixth generation of Camry dual engine was domestically listed. At that time, the comprehensive fuel consumption of B-class cars was basically above 10L, and the Camry dual engine raised this data to 6L/100km for the first time.
