The 19th China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival, jointly sponsored by the State Administration of Radio and Television and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, is the only national-level professional platform with documentary investment, financing and trading functions in China, the official release platform for China's documentary industry pulse vane - national industrial policy and international development trend, and a comprehensive cultural event integrating evaluation, pre-sale, training, forum and market content. After 19 years of hard work, the China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival has repeatedly set new records in terms of the number of films collected, participating institutions, attention, and participating countries and regions around the world, and has become the largest documentary professional festival in Asia.
The China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival has always adhered to the strength of the global documentary industry, promoted China's local documentaries to the world, and opened up a new model of documentary market and industry. In 2013, the "Top Ten Documentary Promoters in China" project was established to recognize institutions and individuals from all walks of life who have made outstanding contributions to documentaries. All along, they have insisted on using documentaries to carry social responsibilities, actively play the positive guiding role of documentary works, and make many documentary works burst out of different vitality and innovation.
This year is the ninth year that the China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival has awarded the honor of "China's Top Ten Documentary Promoters", and the candidates include universities, content production platforms and broadcast platforms, as well as related media and cultural institutions. Although they are not professional documentary creators, it is they who personally promote the continuous advancement of the documentary industry, and many moving stories have entered the public eye and gone abroad.

Institute of International Communication of Chinese Culture, Beijing Normal University
Ms. Huang Huilin, a senior professor at Beijing Normal University and dean of the Institute of Chinese Culture and International Communication, as the founder of the "Look at Chinese Culture and International Communication Project" sponsored by the Institute of Chinese Culture and International Communication of Beijing Normal University, regards "letting the world understand Chinese culture" as her life's task. In the past 11 years, 804 foreign youth from 77 overseas universities in 91 countries on 5 continents have completed 779 documentary short films, won more than 120 international awards, and been screened in 28 countries on 5 continents. Under the lens of foreign youth, China's history and culture, mountains and rivers, and changes in the times are naturally presented, and this series of short documentaries has become the strongest voice of cross-cultural communication.
The results of this year's "Look at China" condensed into an 85-minute feature film "Road: Foreign Youth Look at China", which interpreted the core concept of "family, homeland and home country" and truly reflected the current life of Chinese. This video project, which creates cultural documentary short films through the cooperation of Chinese and foreign youth, not only brings about cultural exchanges and emotional resonance beyond national borders, but also provides new possibilities for the local creation and overseas export of documentary content.
Mobilizing the power of young people and promoting the creation and dissemination of documentaries across regions, the Institute of Chinese Culture and International Communication of Beijing Normal University is a well-deserved pioneer.
Propaganda Department of Dongcheng District Committee of Beijing Municipality
Dongcheng District of Beijing has rich cultural resources and historical heritage, and has always been an important position in the documentary industry. The 5th Beijing Documentary Video Week in 2021 opened in Dongcheng District, and Dongcheng District, as one of the co-organizers, gave the greatest support to this documentary industry event, truly recording the great era with images, and becoming one of the important areas for documentary filming and creation. Not only that, Dongcheng District also cooperated with the News Program Center of Beijing Radio and Television Station to plan and produce large-scale urban humanistic documentaries "Happiness in the Hutong" and "Just a Hundred Years of Style", as well as a special documentary "We Are Together" that truly reflects the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Dongcheng. Vivid grassroots stories show the characteristics of the Dongcheng region, write the memory of the city, and also highlight the abundant resources and talent advantages provided by the culture of the capital region for documentary creation.

Straits TV
Since its launch in 2005, Straits TV has always been based in Fujian and looking at home and abroad, and is committed to creating TV programs that meet the tastes of young ethnic groups. Under the background of the integration of Taiwan and the Internet, Straits Satellite TV has continuously developed new models of documentary creation and content operation, launching "Breakfast China", "The Daily Life of Literature", and "Circle Breaking" works such as "Above Chai Rice Oil and Salt" directed by the well-known British director Ke Wensi, capturing the light of the times from the most subtle points. Hong Lei, director of the Fujian Provincial Radio, Film and Television Group and Satellite Television Center, clearly defined the direction of realizing the cross-strait youth exchange platform, adhered to the content as king, led and planned a series of high-quality documentaries, and he is committed to expanding the production capacity of documentaries, so as to realize the return of the value of mainstream media.
Actively exploring the new paradigm of cooperation between television institutions and new media, Straits Satellite TV has always explored new possibilities for the production and dissemination of documentary content.
National Alliance for the Screening of Art Films
Since its establishment, the National Art Film Screening Alliance has focused on the distribution of art films, and through various models such as special screening, joint promotion, theme film festivals, etc., more Excellent Chinese and Foreign Masterpieces have gone to a wider range of people. Not only that, the All-China Arts Federation has always helped the theatrical distribution of documentaries, and presented excellent documentaries such as "Karas: Born for Love", "Ryuichi Sakamoto: Finale", and "Water Moon in Hand" for film fans. Through split-line distribution, the National Arts Federation has found its own audience for more documentaries.
Under the background of the huge impact of the normalization of the epidemic on the film industry, the National Art Film Screening Alliance has always insisted on providing a stable screening space for excellent films and documentaries. Sun Xianghui, director of the China Film Archive and director of the China Film Art Research Center, pointed out that the All-China Federation of The Arts is committed to the distribution of art films as a driving force for the structural reform of the supply side of the film industry and the construction of a new development pattern.
Tsinghua University Qingying Studio
Tsinghua University's Qingying Studio brings together the love of teachers, students and alumni for documentaries, while actively cultivating practice, observing the current society and life in China, and exploring new creative perspectives for documentaries. Founded in 2006, Qingying Studio has produced more than 300 documentary video works and won many awards in various fields. Following the acclaimed documentaries such as "Himalayan Ladder", "Big River Singing", and "Wuhan New Year in the Mobile Phone", in 2021, Qingying Studio launched the documentary film "University" that cut into the big era from a microscopic perspective, and the documentary "I Repair Cultural Relics in the Forbidden City" is called the companion documentary "I Repair Cultural Relics in the Forbidden City". Liang Junjian, the creator of the documentary and an associate professor at tsinghua university's School of Journalism and Communication, pointed out that Qingying Studio provides an important platform for teachers and students of colleges and universities to create and teach research.

Lili Ancient Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou City
Lili, an ancient town in Wujiang District, Suzhou, is not only the pearl of Jiangnan Water Town, but also a unique "documentary industry base" that is thriving. Starting from 2020, the Documentary Fresh Proposal True Image Conference officially settled in Lili, building an international cultural business card with Mutual Benefit and Mutual Assistance with Lili, and creating a high-level documentary industry chain cluster platform. Lili's own unique historical, humanistic and folklore landscape provides the core content for the documentary sharing space and the integrated planning of cultural tourism, which not only explores a characteristic and differentiated development path for the protection and development of ancient towns, but also better focuses on the development goals of the documentary industry and expands the scale of the documentary industry.

Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB)
As one of the world's largest Chinese-language program production companies, TVB's 12-episode national poverty alleviation documentary "The Endless Road" produced in 2021 has been widely acclaimed since its broadcast, and has also aroused enthusiastic responses in the three places across the Taiwan Straits. Through the personal experience and emotional experience of the host and the production team, "Infinite Road" presents the difficulties and achievements of poverty alleviation work with the most representative cases of ten regions, enabling Hong Kong citizens to have a deeper understanding of the country's poverty alleviation work and writing different annotations for contemporary Chinese society from a new perspective. Aocene
Founded in 2015, Xinshixiang takes the WeChat public account as the starting point to expand content production from text to documentary field. Through its focus on popular events and its involvement in film and television production, in recent years, the New Age phase has succeeded in "using documentaries as a method" to present diverse stories in real life. Since 2020, Xinshixiang has launched a series of "Hello, Pioneer" character documentaries, focusing on hot characters such as Zhang Wenhong, Tao Yong, Zhang Guimei, etc., to dig deep into contemporary stories from individual perspectives; he also launched the "Blockbuster China" documentary with Tmall to reveal the behind-the-scenes story of the rise of domestic brands.

CIPG interprets the Chinese studio
Since its inception, CIPG Interpretation China Studio has always aimed at audiences at home and abroad and paid attention to external dissemination.
