Although Huawei later got Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips through various methods, the Snapdragon chips authorized by Qualcomm to Huawei only support 4G networks, which led to many users who spent the price of flagship machines to buy 4G mobile phones in 2022. And the Huawei mobile phone without the Kirin chip also lacks the feeling of some Huawei mobile phones.
In order to solve the problem of Kirin chip production, Huawei recruited semiconductor talents everywhere, and even became a Hubble investment company, which is specially used to invest in companies in the semiconductor industry chain, thereby promoting chip manufacturing. So how does Huawei solve the problem of mobile phone chips?
In the author's view, it is unlikely that the Kirin chip will resume production, and the biggest possibility is that Huawei has obtained Qualcomm's 5G authorization and can use Qualcomm's 5G Snapdragon chip, which is more reliable.
Because Lao Mei has been suppressing Huawei's HiSilicon Semiconductor, trying to curb Huawei's trend of catching up with Apple's A-series chips on Kirin chips, and banning Huawei from using 5G chips is only an additional role. After all, the Kirin chip designed by Huawei HiSilicon has long surpassed Qualcomm in performance and power consumption, and also played a draw with Apple in 2018, which is a huge threat to the US core company.
Now Huawei not only has the chip problem been solved, it is reported that Huawei's Hongmeng system has also ushered in version 3.0, is undergoing internal testing, and is likely to be accompanied by the release of the Mate50 series in July.
Of course, the author is still looking forward to seeing the day when the Huawei mobile phone king returns.
