When the name Wang Wuka is mentioned, most of the time the labels are "internet celebrity teenagers" and "billiard prodigies". And this time when I saw him, Wang Wuka's identity became a contestant. The 2018 CBSA China Junior Snooker Series Jiaxing Open kicked off yesterday, and Wang Wuka signed up for the Junior Division.

Wanguka was born in 2009 and is now under 9 years old. When he was 3 years old, because a video of playing billiards became popular on the Internet, Wang Wuka's small stature stood on the edge of the table, playing the ball with a look at a board, and the accuracy was also very amazing, so that many adults were ashamed of themselves.

After becoming famous, Wang Wuka also played with "Billiards Emperor" Stephen Hendry, "Wizard" John Higgins, Ding Junhui, Pan Xiaoting and other big names, and received unanimous praise.

This is Wang Wuka's first time to participate in the Youth Championship, and his father told reporters that because Jiaxing is not far from Guangde, Anhui, where they live, and it coincides with Children's Day and weekends, he wants to bring his children to see it.

Wanguka's group has 6 players, and so far he has played against 3 of them, and the record is all defeated.

"Usually at home, he practices playing, and the accuracy is no problem." Wanguka's father said. Indeed, in the game, in the face of difficult balls, he can always score the ball, and the accuracy is amazing. However, his shortcomings are also very prominent, "I have not taught him the rules, so he does not understand." When it comes to real matchups, he doesn't know how to use the rules to restrain his opponents except to score goals. This also explains why the "billiard prodigy" suffered three consecutive defeats.

Wanguka is now a second-grade elementary school student, in order not to affect the child's academics, every day after school he has time to practice at the table, so his father deliberately placed a snooker table in his home.

"Growing up, I was the only one who taught him." Wanguka's father told reporters that his idols were "wizards" Higgins and Carter, so he gave the child such a name. At the same time, it can also be seen that the father hopes that the child can make a difference on this road. "I also hope to find a coach for my child and receive formal training, but now the child is too young to delay his studies." Although he has high hopes for his children, Wang Wuka's father still hopes to let his children complete their studies first, "The latter things do not think too much, take one step at a time, now the child is interested in billiards, not contradictory, I will let him practice more, if there is a chance, he will come out to participate in some competitions." If he doesn't want to go down this path in the future, I won't force him. ”

After contact, the reporter found that Wang Wuka was a cheerful and polite child. When there is no game, he likes to play and play with his little brothers. For a child who is not yet 9 years old, he may not fully understand the meaning of participating in the game, but many of the players who are active in the first line are now playing in the middle and youth competitions from his age, and gradually grow into a good athlete.

As an event for Chinese young players, the China Youth Games has become an important part of China's billiards talent reserve and echelon construction. Being able to get exercised and gain experience here is a good start for Wanguka. (Chinese Billiards Association XiaoFan)
