As one of the core birthplaces of tea plants in the world, Yunnan now has an annual comprehensive output value of more than 100 billion yuan. On this small leaf, there is a clear vein of mainland rural revitalization, and it is also full of people's expectations for a better life.

In the south, there is Jiamu, and Yunling produces good tea. Strolling through the ancient tea forests and organic tea gardens, the story of ecological priority and green development is everywhere, and a new picture of the revitalization of the frontier of tea culture, tea industry and tea technology is slowly unfolding.

The grass and trees contain gold, and the small leaves grow into large industries

On the tea hill of the whole bowl village in Nanping Town, Simao District, Pu'er City, a ridge of emerald green tea trees meanders and undulates, tall shade trees are scattered among the mountains, and farmers work in the fields.

This is the organic tea base of tea farmer Dong Zuxiang. His tea is certified organic by the European Union, the United States, Japan and China, and his tea exports to Europe sell for up to more than 2,000 euros per kilogram.

When the tea character is taken apart, it is "between the grass and trees of the pedestrians", and the grass and trees are nature. Here is the secret of Dong Zuxiang's success, "The production of organic tea does not use pesticides, applies organic fertilizer, pays attention to ecological environmental protection and biodiversity development, which is the essence of tea." He said.

Including Dong Zuxiang's more than 2,000 mu of organic tea gardens, in 2021, Yunnan organic tea garden certification area of 1.057 million mu, 1406 certified products, organic tea garden certification area and the number of certified products since 2015 ranked in the forefront of the country.

Not only organic tea gardens, Yunnan has a long history of growing tea, making tea and drinking tea, and tea gardens are the best development resources. According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Yunnan Province, there are 15 prefectures (cities) and 88 counties (cities, districts) in the province that produce tea, ancient trees and famous mountains coexist with modern tea gardens, more than 4.5 million tea farmers, and nearly 10 million tea-related population. In 2021, Yunnan Province will have a tea planting area of 7.4 million mu and an output of 490,000 tons, ranking the forefront of the country.

There is only one word difference from tea to tea industry, but behind it is the profound transformation of the development of the whole chain of Tea Industry in Yunnan.

Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Yunnan has continuously increased its guidance and support, and tea has become an important industry for poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. All localities have also built party branches on the industrial chain, deeply integrated enterprise party building and rural revitalization work, and party members and cadres rushed to the front line of industrial development.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Yunnan Province, the comprehensive output value of tea in Yunnan will increase to 107.11 billion yuan in 2021; the per capita income of tea farmers from the tea industry will reach 4708 yuan, an increase of 658 yuan over 2020, and tea will become the "leaf of prosperity" for the masses.

In Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, the award-winning Rainforest Ancient Tea House Tea Co., Ltd. tailored ancient tree black tea for the linked Manlu Village in Mengsong Township, achieving an average annual income of more than 24,000 yuan per household.

Tengchong Gaoligongshan Ecological Tea Industry Co., Ltd. increases the income of more than 30,000 tea farmers by more than 70 million yuan every year, and many party members have entered the management of the enterprise and showed their skills in helping farmers increase income. "Although there is an impact of the epidemic, we collect tea from tea farmers as usual and explore live broadcasting, e-commerce and other ways to open up the market." Chen Yazhong, general manager of the company, said.

Nowadays, the Tea Horse Ancient Road has become the "golden signboard" of Yunnan, and relevant departments and industry associations have joined hands to excavate the cultural value of the Tea Horse Ancient Road, carry out the protection of ancient tea forest resources, and promote the study of tea culture to the depths.

"One mountain and one taste" is the charm of Pu'er tea. The thousand-acre ancient tea forest in Jingmai Mountain, Lancang County, Pu'er City, is known as the "Living Chinese Tea History Book". The orchid fragrance of Jingmai tea is unique, the tea forest, the sea of clouds and the ancient village make people linger, and the declaration of world cultural heritage is advancing in an orderly manner.
