The difference between how fast and slow it takes to publish the results
● On-site paper-based testing: Paper-based testing typically takes more time to process results. It can take up to 15 days to receive your scores.
● Online IELTS: The digital format provides a faster turnaround time for results. Candidates usually receive their scores within 3 to 5 days of completing the test.
The difference in the volume of the listening section
● On-site written test: In the paper-based test, the volume of the listening module is set by the test administrator. You can't control the audio level.
● Online IELTS: When taking the test on a computer, you can adjust the volume in the listening module.
