FSD Beta 12.2 is available to Tesla employees and special groups

IT Home reported on February 10 that @Teslascope monitored that Tesla has begun to push the 2023.44.30.15 update to its employees and special groups, including the FSD Beta 12.2 version of the assisted driving function.

@WholeMarsBlog added that Tesla has only pushed version 12.2 for the HW3 hardware, and the HW4 version still has to wait.

IT Home noted that Tesla's last FSD beta version was V12.1.2, which was only available to employees and about 100 public beta users, and these 100 people are likely to be the "special group" mentioned by Teslascope.

Tesla's fourth-quarter 2023 earnings report showed that Tesla's fourth-quarter revenue was $25.2 billion, up 3% year-over-year, net profit to common shareholders was $7.9 billion, up 115% year-over-year, and diluted earnings per share were $2.27, up 112% year-over-year. After the earnings release, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that FSD V12 is expected to be available to regular customers in the near future.

This is based on a completely new architectural rewrite that enables end-to-end AI capabilities. This is a very profound technological innovation. The technology has already been tested on some employee and customer vehicles and will be rolled out to all customers in the coming weeks.

Tesla is probably the most efficient company in the world for AI inference. We are very good at utilizing hardware resources, especially the latest hardware devices. Therefore, I think Tesla has far surpassed other companies in terms of efficiency in AI inference, and this advantage will be even more prominent in the future.
