Last time, I drove a tank 300 through the Gnie South Line, and finally arrived at Batang by night train. The next stop was on the way from Batang to Baiyu, and I saw the niche scenic spot Baige Dam Lake.
Speaking of going to Baige Dam Lake this time, thanks to my Goodyear tires. Baige Dam Lake is a small urban attraction, less than one in 1,000 people have visited it. Because it is inaccessible, the road conditions are poor. There is still snow in many places, and there are even snow and ice roads. Fortunately, my Goodyear tires had a strong grip, and I saw the beautiful scenery and arrived safely in Batang County.
In fact, after crossing the southern line of Gnie, the sun set quickly. Although the road conditions ahead are better, there are still two 5,000-meter passes to be crossed. The sunset is beautiful, but there is no time to appreciate it. Fortunately, the headlights were installed before, and this time it came in handy.
After arriving in Batang, I was finally able to get a good night's sleep. Batang is only 2,800 meters above sea level, making it a suitable place for first-time visitors to Tibet. Batang has changed a lot in recent years, and it has become prosperous at night. Sister Bubbles drove for a day, and after a simple subsistence, she found a place to sleep.
On the way from Batang to Baiyu, I met Tibetans praying for blessings. The little Tibetan girl is very cute, and she took a group photo when she saw me taking a selfie. The Tibetans warmly invited us to chat and drink butter tea and barley wine. Because you don't drink alcohol while driving, you can only taste pure butter tea, and drink more sweet tea in Lhasa.
There is always such an unpredictable feeling on the road! The Tibetans were very enthusiastic and took a group photo together. Devout Tibetans are grateful and very welcoming to tourists like us. I also saw the Tibetan Wuling car, which can still be powerful at an altitude of 5,000 meters.
