At the beginning of 1953, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, the originator of modern mechanical divers' watches, was put into production and was adopted by professional divers as a truly specialized diving equipment. In 1956, the modern urban version of the classic Fifty Fathoms was launched, the Bathyscaphe family of submersibles. Unlike the classic Fifty Fathoms, the submersible family features a smaller dial size designed for everyday wear while providing professional functionality for exploring the seabed. Now, the Bathyscaphe family of submersibles has been reinvented with a more dynamic timepiece, combining captivating colors with ceramic, once again reaffirming its creative essence.

· A dazzling gradient dial that catches your eye at first glance

The dial of the new All-Calendar Moon Phase features an elegant blue hue that contrasts with the black ceramic elements. The delicate gradation of colours and the sunburst finish bring the dial to life, creating a dynamic personality that enhances the depth of vision and adds a dazzling sparkle to the watch. The watch's unmistakable personality is enhanced by the striking contrast between the brightly coloured dial and the black ceramic case and bracelet, which are further enhanced by the extraordinary finishing of Haute Horlogerie.

· Proven durability

The use of cutting-edge ceramic technology has taken the Bathyscaphe family of submersibles to a whole new dimension and height. Thanks to its unique properties, ceramic is the ideal material for this urban-inspired watch family, and the high-tech ceramic bracelet is making its debut for the first time.

Durable, highly scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic, ceramic is almost 5 times harder than stainless steel (stainless steel) but 25% lighter. The excellent properties of ceramics are undoubted, but the further processing of ceramics at the stage of Haute Horlogerie, especially in the fine polishing process, is quite complex. In addition to the fact that the volume is reduced by 25% at high temperatures above 1400°C and the diamond tools that are used to process it, the satin-brushed process is a delicate process that requires meticulous attention from the watchmaker. Whether it's the links, the clasp or the case, the polishing of each facet on each component is carried out independently by different specialists.

Haute Horlogerie bracelets are made to exacting standards, requiring precise adjustment of the links so that they are neither too loose to ensure aesthetics nor too tight to enhance usability, often with minimal errors. Therefore, each link is carefully measured and inspected to ensure a perfect fit between them. The bracelet features the brand's patented technology link assembly system, which uses cam-shaped pins to fasten the individual links for durability and comfort. The black color is not only a perfect match for the new full-calendar moon phase (43.6 mm diameter, water-resistant to 300 metres) with a black ceramic case for the first time, but also with the Bathyscaphe three-hand submersible and the flyback chronograph, which also have a ceramic case.

The new Submersible Full Calendar Moon Phase is powered by the 6654. The P4 calibre offers a glimpse of Blancpain's unique Haute Horlogerie heritage in its iconic design, such as the unidirectional rotating bezel, as well as Blancpain's signature Haute Horlogerie elements, such as the moon phase complication and the anti-magnetic silicon balance spring.

· Dive & Safety: Lockable unidirectional rotating bezel

In 1952, Jean-Jacques Fiechter, Blancpain's co-CEO at the time, realized the need to measure the length of a dive in a safe way through a diving accident that he had personally experienced. His innovative solution was a lockable, graduated rotating bezel designed for diving, which was installed in the Fifty Fathoms, which went into production in early 1953.

For added safety, today's Fifty Fathoms series features a unidirectional rotating bezel that only supports counterclockwise rotation; The Bathyscaphe, inspired by the original Fifty Fathoms, also features a bezel of this type, albezel with a ceramic bezel instead of a curved sapphire glass. The new Deep Submersible Full Calendar Moon Phase is no exception: the black ceramic bezel with a deep and bold black ceramic inner ring complements the tone of the dial. The inner bezel is also adorned with a contrasting grey Liquidmetal, highlighting the striking sunburst blue gradient dial. This urban-style bezel is extremely scratch-resistant, and every time you turn it, it makes a crisp "click".

· Attractive face moon phase: The core moon phase display function

Blancpain's signature moon phase complication is available in this 6654. The P4 calibre also plays a central role in the new timepieces. In 1983, Blancpain reintroduced the moon phase display after the Quartz Storm, demonstrating the extraordinary craftsmanship of mechanical watches and proving that quartz watches can never replace mechanical complications. The moon phase display thus became a symbol of the rebirth of mechanical watchmaking. In addition to the instantly recognizable Blancpain moon phase, the new model is equipped with the high-performance 6654. The P4 calibre, in addition to having a power reserve of 72 hours thanks to its twin barrel design, is equipped with a safety adjustment protection device that allows the wearer to adjust the date display at any time without damaging the movement. In addition, the master watchmakers have followed the tradition of Haute Horlogerie, using various techniques such as chamfering, fish scales and snailing to decorate the movement, which can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back. It is worth mentioning that the watch also uses an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring, which protects the movement from magnetic fields.

· Leading the way: silicon innovation

At the beginning of the 21st century, the advent of silicon revolutionized watchmaking and led to significant advances in the field of time measurement. The advantages of silicon are numerous, such as its elasticity but not easy to deform, its hardness, lightness and high corrosion resistance, as well as its magnetic resistance that makes it stand out from other materials. The anti-magnetic properties are so popular in watchmaking because they ensure the accuracy of the timepiece.

In the 50s of the 20th century, the balance wheel was equipped with a metal balance spring that could be magnetized, so a soft-iron anti-magnetic metal cover was added to protect the movement from magnetic fields. The modern Fifty Fathoms is quite different, with an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring that provides space for the sapphire crystal caseback to reveal the unique movement construction. Thanks to the use of this new material, the new Submersible Full Calendar Moon Phase is not only a confident demonstration of the quality of the movement, but also a perfect display of the watch's exceptional chronometric performance.

· Master of the Calendar – Blancpain

A vital part of Blancpain's DNA, the Date watch is a testament to the Maison's expertise in complications. In the early 80s of the 20th century, Blancpain's date display first made a strong return in the form of a full-calendar watch, laying the foundation for a series of date models that followed. Whether it's a weekly calendar, a simple date display, an annual calendar or a perpetual calendar, Blancpain's ability to create a date watch is at its pinnacle – two world milestones have been awarded with two of the world's most complex timepieces, the Villeret V Equation of Time and the Villeret V Chinese Annual Calendar. Blancpain's flexible use of the calendar mechanism has made the brand the "master of the calendar" in the world of watches, and the new Deepsea Full Calendar Moon Phase is in keeping with this tradition of innovation.

关于Fifty Fathoms五十噚腕表
