Recently, during the recently opened Busan International Auto Show in South Korea, the first landing product of the cooperation project between Renault Korea and Geely Group, Grand Koleos, was officially unveiled, which can be translated as Grand Koleos in Chinese.
According to relevant media, in November 2022, Geely and Renault announced that they had reached a framework agreement, followed by the establishment of HORSE Powertrain Limited powertrain technology company on May 31 this year, which will serve products under brands including Renault Group, Geely Automobile, Volvo Cars, Proton Motors, Nissan and Mitsubishi in the future. As the "sister model" of the Geely Xingyue L in China, this model will be available for pre-order in the Korean market from now on, and will be delivered locally within the year.
According to relevant media, this car adopts a frameless middle mesh, hanging a diamond-shaped Renault logo, and the entire front face is covered with straight lines, with a sharp style. The side of its body continues the styling style and overall silhouette of Xingyue L, but its temperament is different from that of Xingyue L, which tends to be "soft".
The cabin is equipped with three 12.3-inch screens that integrate navigation, music, seat control, interior climate control and various infotainment functions, and the passenger entertainment screen also has built-in streaming and podcast applications that meet the usage habits of local users.
In addition, the car is available in an exclusive Alpine version with customised wheels, logos and black Alcantara upholstery, as well as an exclusive nameplate.
In terms of power, the new car is offered with a 1.5-liter E-Tech hybrid system, with a maximum output of 245 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which can be equipped with a four-wheel drive system, with multiple driving modes such as comfort, eco-friendly, sport, intelligent, snow and off-road.
By comparison, this model has made some adjustments to the exterior design that suits the Renault brand, while the interior and power are completely similar to the Xingyue L.
