In order to improve the flood control power guarantee capacity in the rainy season, during this period, the State Grid Shanghai Jinshan Power Supply Company has strengthened special inspections on the low-lying power equipment, substations and transmission lines supplied by flood control pumping stations in the jurisdiction on the basis of daily inspections, so as to discover and deal with various potential safety hazards in a timely manner.
At ten o'clock in the morning, at the 35kV substation in Langxia, the operation and maintenance personnel were spot-checking the main equipment in the substation. Due to typhoons in previous years, the substation had water ingress. Therefore, the inspectors focused on checking whether there is water accumulation in the substation, whether the drainage devices in the station are operating normally, whether the power protection measures and safety warning signs meet the requirements, and make every effort to ensure that all hidden dangers are in place.

Since December last year, after four months of flood control renovation work, the fence has been turned into a 2.3-meter-high flood control wall, and the original two submersible pumps have been transformed into four large-capacity submersible pumps, which has enhanced the drainage capacity of the substation.
With the advent of the rainy season, the staff of the substation operation and maintenance team have also increased the frequency of inspections involving flood control and power protection substations and transmission lines, and will quickly take corresponding measures once potential safety hazards are found.

We will have an inspection every 16 days, and the frequency of inspections will be increased during the flood prevention period. In the event of rainy seasons and strong winds and rains, we will increase special patrols to check the equipment and water level in the station.
Since entering Mei, Jinshan Power Supply Company has organized personnel to complete the electricity investigation of 17 key customers for flood control and Taiwan control, 44 user underground substations and 49 interchange high-pressure pumping stations. In the next step, Jinshan Power Supply Company will continue to pay attention to weather conditions, strengthen special inspections of lines in key areas of flood control, enhance the effectiveness and pertinence of defect investigation and hidden danger elimination, and ensure the reliable operation of the power grid during the flood season.
