The documentary film "Kangxi and Louis XIV" jointly produced by China and France held a special viewing party at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies on the 28th, and many French college students and French students attended the viewing party. Through the film, everyone "traveled" through time and learned about the history of Sino-French exchanges and mutual learning.

The documentary film "Kangxi and Louis XIV" focuses on the story of China and France, and was filmed in many places in both countries. Through the correspondence between the two monarchs more than 300 years ago, it shows you the history of Sino-French exchanges in science and technology, commerce, and ideological and cultural exchanges. Most of the people who came to see the film were graduate and undergraduate students majoring in French. After watching the film, some students came up with more plans and ideas for the development of their careers.

Ye Xiaotong, student of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies: When the movie talked about the 13 lines in Guangzhou, I found that there are a lot of business exchanges between China and France, and I can also contribute to Sino-French trade, turning myself into a compound talent and devoting myself to various fields.

The film tells the story of King Louis XIV of France who sent six "mathematicians of the king" to China. As a well-known university with the goal of cultivating international talents, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies attracts a large number of international exchange students and foreign interns to study here every year. After watching the movie, a French intern said that he would be like the "king's mathematician" back then, and continue to be a messenger of cultural exchanges between the two countries.

After the movie, the students, experts, professors and creators of the film had a discussion and exchange on the history of Sino-French culture and trade during this period. Some experts hope that by watching the film, more students will take the initiative to shoulder the responsibility of cultural exchanges between the two countries.
