How to "not lose a point"? Volunteering to fill in the college entrance examination, they choose to control the "throat of fate" by themselves

The number of applicants for the national college entrance examination in 2024 is expected to be 13.53 million, a record high. After the college entrance examination, voluntary filling has become an important choice that candidates and parents must experience.

At the same time, the college entrance examination voluntary filling agencies continue to use parents' anxiety to "harvest" users, often five or six thousand yuan or even tens of thousands of yuan in consulting fees, which requires parents to keep their eyes open to identify. If you fill in the volunteer by yourself, how to achieve "no loss of points"? Recently, the New Yellow River reporter interviewed several people who have experienced or are going through the college entrance examination to fill in the voluntary application. In the face of the important test moment of the college entrance examination, they all chose to take their fate into their own hands, and the following is their account.

"I want to take the college entrance examination and still want to take it into my own hands"

Xiao Zhou, 23 years old, is a graduate student

The university was admitted to Shandong University

I took the college entrance examination in 2020, which was the first year of the new college entrance examination reform in Shandong.

As far as I know, some students in our class that year did find a volunteer filling agency, and the price I remember was about 3,000 to 5,000 yuan. I chose to fill in the application myself, considering the price of the institution, of course, not exactly, because I think that filling in the college entrance examination is an important choice in life, if someone else decides for me, I am afraid that I will regret it one day, so I still want to take it into my own hands.

Neither of my parents went to college, and I have always had very little discipline in my studies, so I have always been "crawling around" on my own. After the scores came out, they were more "constrained" on me, such as hoping that I could stay in Shandong and the like, so I still had autonomy in volunteering.

My college entrance examination score that year was 649 points, and the biggest basis for filling in the application was the two reference books issued by the school. It will give you the admission score of each school and each major in previous years, and you can choose your own "rush, stability, and security" according to your score. I also read a lot of experience posts, such as some experience Q&A platforms, to learn more about the school, major, and future courses.

My level exams are all liberal arts, so I have already had a "circle" in the general direction of volunteering, because I really don't like mathematics, so I have excluded economics and management majors.

I first chose the school and major I liked with an admission score of around 660 and 670 in the previous year, and "rushed" with the mentality of giving it a try. Then I reported a few "stable and stable" with a score of about 650 in previous years, and finally reported a "guarantee with a guarantee" of around 620 points. After reporting for 600 points, I felt that it should be stable, and there must be a professional who can "catch" you, so I didn't continue to report, and finally reported about 40 or so, and submitted.

In the end, I was lucky enough to be admitted to the Chinese Department of Shandong University, although I did not rush to my favorite Beijing Division and China Division, and later I saw that it was actually one or two points behind. I feel that there is still a lack of luck, Shandong children, there is always an idea of wanting to go out to school. However, in the end, I am also very satisfied with this result, and Shanda is also a very good destination. My parents may have been more satisfied, but they still wish I could be closer.

I'm now a bachelor's degree graduate and a graduate student. From the bottom of my heart, I am very grateful to the University of Shandong, the university is different from the education I received in the past, and the University has given me the experience of university, and it is also a weighty springboard.

I have a few more things to say about volunteering. I think that after the college entrance examination, we should all be adults with a sense of autonomy, and parents and candidates should choose together. I have a friend who thinks the computer major is good, so he chose a computer major, but he has no interest, in addition to failing the bachelor's degree and not graduating in time, he was also diagnosed with depression because he doesn't like this major.

In fact, I have friends who used to work part-time in education and training institutions, which is to do the job of volunteering, so looking for an institution, you may find a college student, and I think the professionalism still needs to be investigated.

"Only parents know their children best"

Mr. Cai, aged 56, is a teacher

It's time to fill in the annual college entrance examination again. After the results of the college entrance examination were released, I saw that some friends found institutions to start to help their children fill in the volunteers, and carefully asked if the price was not low, and I was a little dissatisfied with this approach.

No one knows their children better than parents, and it is easier for parents to communicate with their children. Therefore, I think parents should do it themselves. However, my advantage is that I am a teacher myself, so I am closer to the industry.

In my opinion, filling in the college entrance examination for children is by no means something that should be considered only after the college entrance examination results come out. Because when filling in the volunteer, not only the grades are considered, but also the child's interests, hobbies, professional aspirations, etc. Therefore, as parents, we usually need to communicate more with our children and understand their hobbies, which is a long-term job.

Let me briefly share with you my experience of volunteering for my daughter. My daughter went to high school in 2008, and just a year before my daughter went to high school, I started to be busy filling in the volunteer for my daughter after the college entrance examination. Sorting out the college entrance examination data, paying attention to the data released on the website of the Shandong Admissions Examination Institute about the college entrance examination score line and the filing situation, until the end of her senior high school entrance examination, I collected these data for a total of 5 years.

In addition to collecting data such as the annual college entrance examination results, score cut-offs, and one-book application cut-offs, I also began to collect information about universities, majors, and introductions of each university.

In normal times, whenever my daughter is free, I always pay attention to her interest in learning, consciously or unconsciously. Only when you have the bottom in your heart can you not panic. With the usual observation and accumulation, and the usual results as a reference, I have a general number in my heart. I chose the target cities for my daughter: Beijing and Shanghai, and the school targets were 211 and 985.

Therefore, when compiling the data, I mainly focused on these two cities, and at the same time selected another city to prevent accidents, and also made a table to list the relevant data of 211 and 985 schools in these places for 5 years, including the highest score, lowest score, enrollment number, etc.

After finishing it, I printed it out.

The day after the college entrance examination, according to the college entrance examination questions and reference answers published in the newspaper, my daughter estimated her college entrance examination results. The difference between her estimated college entrance examination score and the final announcement was only 0.5 points.

With a specific score, when it was time to actually fill in the application, my daughter quickly chose the university of her choice and was successfully admitted on the basis of carefully analyzing the information I usually accumulated. Recalling the experience of helping my daughter fill in the college entrance examination volunteer back then, I feel deeply emotional. If there are candidates in the family, parents should usually be a caring person, and their efforts should be in normal times.

"The best way to answer questions is the parent-teacher conference held by the school"

Ms. Su, parent of the new candidate

In the past few days, our family has been busy volunteering for our children. I also spent 300 yuan to buy a small program, which has some information to filter, and we also went to the high recruitment meeting, which has the advantage of being able to communicate one-on-one with the admissions teacher of the school I like...... Various channels came down, and volunteers had initial ideas.

I learned that some parents around me felt that time was tight and the task was heavy, so they found a volunteer filling agency. Specific to my personal thoughts, I still think that it is better to choose in your own hands, and the child has also achieved "mobile phone freedom" after the college entrance examination, and we will also listen to his personal opinions. Overall it went well.

Among the volunteer channels for the college entrance examination that I can learn about so far, I think the most able to answer questions is the parent-teacher meeting held by the school teacher, which was shared by the teacher in charge of the student's volunteer filling in the school, this teacher has been in charge for many years, he spoke very well, and we have figured this matter out. For example, he talked about some principles to be followed in volunteering, and the experience of working in the front line for so many years is really very crucial.

My current plan is to fill up all 96 parallel volunteers, fully grasp what I can grasp, and the rest is to hope that the child can be successfully admitted and pass the college entrance examination.
