Recently, the evaluation results of the 2024 "Forge the Sense of Community of the Chinese Nation: Star Series of Chinese Minority Literature" of the China Writers Association in 2024 were announced, and after expert argumentation and approval by the Secretariat of the China Writers Association, 10 works were selected and planned to be published by the Writers Publishing House. Song Yuwei's essay collection "Another Narrative" was selected, and it is also the only work in Jilin Province that has been selected since the implementation of the book series project in 2018.
It is reported that the "Forging the Sense of Community of the Chinese Nation: Star Series of Chinese Minority Literature" is a new project of the "Chinese Minority Literature Development Project" of the Chinese Writers Association, which was implemented in 2018. The purpose of publishing the "Stars of Chinese Minority Literature" series is to focus on cultivating young and middle-aged writers of ethnic minorities who have made outstanding achievements and had a wide influence in the national literary circles, so as to give them another boost and a new journey to a new heights of literature and to the peak of literature.
The collection of essays brings together a series of 160,000 words of essays completed by Song Yuwei from July 2022 to October 2023 since she studied at Beijing Lu Xun Academy of Literature, focusing on the "Great Changes in Mountains and Towns in the New Era". With her usual writing style of tranquility, calmness, restraint and rationality, the essay collection clearly grasps the spirit of the times and the feelings of the family and country, and establishes a new dialogue relationship with the past in a different way of narration in the change and unchanged of the transformation of the times.
Based on this hot land at the foot of the land of Jilin, the book extracts the diverse fates and emotions of some people by focusing on the people and breath closest to the soil, reflecting a microcosm that is in line with the spirit and temperament of the broad times, and constitutes a creative system that finds and understands each other with the times in the change and unchanged of the transformation of the times. Song Yuwei, born in September 1979, is a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a member of the Chinese Prose Literature Association, and a student of the 41st Advanced Research Class for Young and Middle-aged Writers of Lu Xun Academy of Literature. He has won the "Sun Li Prose Award" and the "Sixth Gongmu Literature Award of Jilin Province (Jilin Literature Award)". His works have been published in publications such as "People's Literature", "National Literature", "Anhui Literature", "Yalu River", "Sichuan Literature", "Yanhe", "Qinghai Lake", and some of his works have been selected by "2023 Chinese Prose Annual Anthology" and "Prose Overseas Edition". His prose works were selected into the 2024 senior high school Chinese mock test papers in Haidian District, Beijing, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, Tangshan City, Handan City, Hebei Province and other provinces and cities.
