On June 29, 2024, the opening ceremony of the high and low pressure multi-functional oxygen chamber was held at the Xinqiao Hospital of the Army Medical University. This is the first large-scale multi-functional cabin group in southwest China integrating low-pressure uniform training, ultra-high pressure therapy and conventional hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which not only demonstrates the latest achievements of the hospital in the field of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, but also provides a new platform for plateau health training and military medical applications.
At the launching ceremony, hospital leaders and many experts with rich experience in the fields of high and low pressure oxygen teaching, scientific research and clinical application gathered together to witness the unveiling of the new oxygen chamber. In their speeches, the leaders of the hospital pointed out that the opening of the high- and low-pressure multi-functional oxygen chamber marks a new step in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of hyperbaric oxygen and the military simulation training of low-pressure oxygen. It is hoped that everyone will take the courage of "daring to be the first in the world", solidly promote the innovation of characteristic medical scientific research, explore the new field of conventional hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the treatment of high-altitude diseases, seize the forefront of clinical diagnosis and treatment, and bravely climb the peak of military medicine.
Professor Lu Shengqing, director of the Department of Neurosurgery, said that since its establishment in 1999, the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center of the Neurosurgery Department of the hospital has become one of the characteristic disciplines of the hospital and an important field of field internal medicine. The center has distinctive characteristics, has a professional technical team composed of professors, chief physicians, etc., is the national hyperbaric oxygen chamber operation and maintenance personnel training base, undertakes the national and military hyperbaric medicine continuing education and training projects, and provides a strong guarantee for clinical treatment, teaching and scientific research.
The high-low and low-pressure multi-functional oxygen chamber group opened this time adopts the most advanced technological achievements at home and abroad, and is the first large-scale multi-functional chamber group in southwest China that integrates low-pressure uniform training, ultra-high pressure therapy and conventional hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It can simulate the high-altitude environment of 16,000 meters and the high-pressure environment of 100 meters of water depth, which provides strong support for plateau decompression training, aviation training and plateau special environment research. It will provide strong support for the hospital's research in the fields of plateau combat readiness and military medicine, and promote the military service to a higher level.
On the day of the launching ceremony, a summit forum on the clinical application of high and low pressure oxygen/gamma knife was also held, and a number of experts and scholars with rich experience and in-depth research in the professional field were invited. The topics of high and low pressure oxygen chamber in plateau health training, the application of conventional hyperbaric oxygen therapy in military medicine and clinical treatment, and the clinical practice of radiosurgery were exchanged and discussed, and on-site exchanges and guidance were conducted on plateau health training, which provided new ideas and directions for the development of hyperbaric oxygen medicine.
On July 1, the high and low pressure multi-functional oxygen chamber of Xinqiao Hospital was officially opened, which not only improved the hospital's medical service capacity, but also injected new vitality into the development of military medicine.
