On July 2, Kaifeng Veterans Service Center, Longting District Veterans Affairs Bureau, and Kaifeng Red Panther Rescue Team went deep into the Laojuntang community of Liuyuankou Township to carry out summer drowning prevention safety education and publicity activities.
At the event, Zhang Haibo, Minister of Armed Forces of Liuyuankou Township, emphasized the importance and urgency of drowning prevention education, and called on parents and children to pay attention to water safety, cherish life, and stay away from danger. Subsequently, the Red Panther Rescue Team introduced in detail the preparation activities before swimming, the precautions during swimming, and the self-rescue skills in case of danger, and demonstrated the correct methods of self-rescue and rescue, including the correct operation steps and precautions of rescue kits and life jackets. Through the simulation exercise, the children experienced how to correctly use life-saving equipment for rescue, and the children listened with relish and expressed that they would apply the knowledge they learned to real life.
The event also set up an interactive Q&A session, where the children actively raised their hands to speak and shared their understanding and views on drowning prevention knowledge. Through this interactive communication, the children's impression of drowning prevention knowledge was not only deepened, but also their interest in learning safety knowledge was stimulated.
The children's drowning prevention publicity activity was well received by parents and children. They said that such activities are very meaningful, not only allowing the children to learn practical safety knowledge, but also enhancing their awareness and ability of self-protection. Parents also said that they will further strengthen the guardianship and education of their children to jointly protect the growth and safety of their children.
Liuyuankou Township will also continue to pay attention to children's safety and actively carry out various safety education activities to create a safe, healthy and happy environment for children to grow up.
