Jiangxi, as the decision-making place of the Long March, the assembly and departure place of the Central Red Army, and the departure place of the Red Sixth Army Corps, the advance team of the Long March, has extremely rich red historical and cultural resources, and is listed as one of the five key construction areas of the Long March National Cultural Park. The construction of the Long March National Cultural Park in Jiangxi is not only a continuation and inheritance of the history of the Red Long March, but also an important measure to promote local social and economic development and cultural prosperity.
●The construction of the Jiangxi section of the Long March National Cultural Park has shown initial results
Since 2020, Jiangxi Province has thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park, and made every effort to promote the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park in accordance with the central government's decision-making and deployment. In terms of the protection of the Long March cultural relics, Jiangxi Province has implemented comprehensive and in-depth protection measures. According to census statistics, there are 2,960 revolutionary sites, 43,600 movable revolutionary cultural relics, more than 10,000 red slogans, 65 revolutionary museums and memorial halls, and more than 50 red scenic spots, forming a rich Long March cultural relics resource system. At the same time, four projects, including the site of the National Congress of Soviets in Ruijin City, have been affirmatively approved by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage; Nine projects, including the Long March National Cultural Park and the Central Red Army Long March Departure Memorial Hall in Yudu County, Ganzhou City, have been selected into the reserve of cultural protection, inheritance and utilization projects in Jiangxi Province during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.
In terms of the promotion of key projects, Jiangxi, as the birthplace of the Long March, has a total of 19 counties (cities and districts) in three cities included in the main construction scope, of which 9 projects have been listed as national key projects and 36 projects have been listed as provincial key dispatching projects. In accordance with the unified deployment and requirements, all localities will actively promote the construction of the project. At present, the Long March Historical Trail, a national-level project in Yududu, has been completed, and a total of 19.34 kilometers of demonstration sections of the Red Army Trail have been built, and the Long March site display projects such as the site of the first battle of the Long March in Xinfeng and the former site of workers, peasants and soldiers in Suichuan County have also been completed, attracting a large number of tourists to come to experience. In addition, Jiangxi has also actively carried out Long March cultural publicity activities, such as the Gannan tea-picking opera "One Man's Long March", which won the national "Five One Project" Outstanding Works Award; The film "The Believer" won the Outstanding Feature Film Award at the China Film Huabiao Awards; The large-scale national opera "August 1st Uprising" was selected into the 2023-2025 Stage Art Creation Action Plan of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; "The First Crossing of the Long March" was shocking, with more than 300 performances; The art exhibition "People's Memory" was selected as an excellent project of the National Art Museum.
In terms of fundraising, since 2020, the central and provincial governments have issued a total of nearly 800 million yuan to support the construction of the Jiangxi section of the Long March National Cultural Park. At the same time, Jiangxi Province's special funds for the protection of national cultural relics exceeded 3.8 billion yuan, nearly 2,000 cultural relics protection projects were implemented, and the special funds for the protection of cultural relics at the provincial level increased by 125%. Various localities have also actively raised construction funds through various channels such as striving for special funds and issuing special bonds to ensure the smooth progress of the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park.
●The basic principles that need to be grasped to promote the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park
In the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping talked about promoting coordinated regional development, clearly proposing to "make good use of red resources" and "increase the protection of cultural relics and cultural heritage", and at the same time to "support the accelerated development of old revolutionary base areas and ethnic minority areas". Based on this series of important instructions, the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park should not only inherit the red gene, carry forward the revolutionary spirit, but also promote the comprehensive development of the regional economy and society.
First, we should persist in seeking truth from facts and avoid being greedy for foreign goods. We should correctly analyze and understand the economic situation and adhere to the principle of diligence and thrift. All localities should give priority to investing in the construction of key areas and key projects, such as the Memorial Hall of the Long March starting point and the Long March trail, according to the actual situation, and should not be fully rolled out and demolished and rebuilt, especially not to put some content unrelated to the Long March in the Long March National Cultural Park. All localities should plan projects scientifically, strictly abide by ecological protection standards, actively guide social participation, strengthen fund management and supervision, and use various media platforms to strengthen cultural publicity, enhance public awareness and participation, and ensure that the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park achieves long-term sustainable development on the basis of rational use of resources.
Second, we should uphold historical truth and stand the test of time. The construction of the Long March National Cultural Park must be guided by historical materialism to ensure historical authenticity, and all the work done can stand the test of practice and time. When building the Long March National Cultural Park, all localities should not only focus on immediate benefits, but also let future generations enjoy the fruits of development in a hundred years. All localities should dig deep into the history of the Long March, collect and sort out relevant historical materials and documents, and ensure that every site, every cultural relic, and every story has a solid historical basis. At the same time, it integrates historical sites, character stories and cultural resources along the Long March to form a systematic historical exhibition. Through these measures, we will ensure the historical authenticity of the Long March National Cultural Park, let the spirit of the Long March be passed on from generation to generation, and truly realize the historical and cultural value of the Long March National Cultural Park.
Third, we should insist on building consensus and assign responsibility to people. The construction of the Long March National Cultural Park is not an overnight effort, and its construction requires the unity and cooperation of all departments. All departments should adhere to consensus, do a good job in top-level design, scientific planning, responsibility to people, and grasp it to the end. Governments at all levels should unify their thinking, clarify their responsibilities, and ensure that all work is carried out in an orderly manner. Through the development of regional pilots, the pilot can be carried out around a small characteristic area, and then gradually expanded to the surrounding areas to ensure the effective use of resources and the sustainable development of the project.
Fourth, adhere to research first and promote the integration of industry and education. To build the Long March National Cultural Park, it is necessary to dig deep into the local Long March cultural resources and strengthen theoretical research. Universities and research institutes should actively carry out research on the Long March National Cultural Park, and comprehensively explore the connotation of the Long March spirit and the contemporary value of red culture. It focuses on practical issues such as the protection of the Long March route, the development of red tourism, and the digitization of cultural heritage, so as to ensure that the research results can not only be applied to the actual planning and design of the Long March National Cultural Park, but also provide scientific guidance for local development, and promote regional rural revitalization and social development. In the process of the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park, all localities should implement the policy of integration of industry and education, and let students participate in the planning, design, management and operation of the Long March National Cultural Park through school-enterprise cooperation. This can not only improve students' practical ability and provide professional talents for the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park, but also promote the innovative dissemination of Long March culture, make it closer to the modern audience, and enhance the educational effect and social influence of red culture.
Fifth, adhere to local conditions and stimulate the vitality of cultural tourism. The construction of the Long March National Cultural Park should be combined with the cultural and tourism industries to provide a strong impetus for the development of the local economy and cultural tourism. All localities should combine the natural scenery and local cultural characteristics along the Long March to develop tourism products with local flavors, promote the in-depth integration of Long March culture, eco-tourism and cultural tourism, and form a unique cultural tourism brand. There are Long March tourism routes in Jiangxi, including Ruijin, Yudu, Xingguo, Ningdu, Xinfeng, Dayu, Yongxin, Suichuan, Jinxi, Guangchang, Le'an and other counties, and the cultural and tourism resources related to the Long March are very rich. Meticulously build a national Long March tourist route, starting from the starting point of the Central Red Army's Long March, breaking through the enemy's four defense lines, forcibly crossing the Wujiang River, convening the Zunyi Conference, crossing the Chishui River four times, skillfully crossing the Jinsha River, forcibly crossing the Dadu River, flying to capture the Luding Bridge, crossing the snow-capped mountains, crossing the grassland, and the last, second, and fourth front armies met in Huining, Gansu Province, and Jiangtaibao, Ningxia, marking the successful end of the two-year-long Red Army's Long March. These places are connected so that everyone can create a good ideological guarantee for "remembering the martyrs, not forgetting the original intention, and taking the new Long March road" in the process of re-walking. At the same time, it can also develop the red tourism industry, create more employment opportunities, and creatively protect and utilize the cultural and tourism resources of the Long March, which can achieve a double harvest of social and economic benefits.
