Project Overview
The central campus of Daye People's Hospital is located on the east side of Donggang Road, Luojiaqiao Street, Daye Lake High-tech Zone, covering an area of about 210 acres, with a construction area of 178,000 square meters and 1,200 beds. As a key livelihood project in Daye City in 2021, it aims to improve the level of medical services and promote the balanced development of regional medical resources. It is a tertiary first-class general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation. The project is divided into three phases, the second phase of which is undertaken by CITIC Design, with a total construction area of 97,853 square meters and 400 open beds, mainly including outpatient medical technology building, inpatient building and related supporting rooms. In the future, it will become a modern regional medical center, an emergency center, and an occupational disease treatment center.

Design Concept
With the theme of "Mining and Metallurgical Green Valley, Healing Harbor", the master plan of the hospital brings tranquility and healing to patients in the bustling urban space. The design of the scheme is adapted to local conditions, fully considering the functional positioning and long-term planning of the hospital, integrating the regional characteristics around the site, and creating a green ecological hospital that integrates with nature.

Balanced layout
Coordinated symbiosis
The west side of the project site is the main road of the city, and the design fully considers the main entrance of the hospital on the south side and the urban image on the west side, and adopts a north-south medical axis to connect the comprehensive medical area, administrative logistics area, infectious disease area and long-term development area, presenting a balanced layout. The east side of the site is a riverside landscape belt, which creates a more pleasant healing environment for the hospital and forms a number of sight corridors with the hospital. "One axis, one belt, four districts and multiple corridors", the whole is organically coordinated.

The medical process is efficient and short
The service concept shows the truth
The T-shaped medical main street effectively connects the functions of outpatient, medical technology and inpatient departments, forming the main axis of medical function traffic in the hospital area, and shortening the flow of patients to the greatest extent. The medical street is connected to various functional areas such as logistics support and infectious disease areas to the north. The relevant departments of medical technology majors are arranged on the same floor or on the upper and lower floors to form a collaborative group and share resources.

The flexible layout of standardized medical modules and the use of the concept of modularization improve the flexible combination of medical functional space and the adaptability and variability of future development, and maximize the potential of expansion, transformation and reconfiguration of hospital and even department construction.

The environment is pleasant and human-oriented
The concept of warm care is deep
In the interior space design, the concept design of "Sunshine Valley" is introduced, and the sunlight is introduced into all floors of the medical street, so that the indoor space and the outdoor space are integrated with each other, which reduces the mental pressure of patients, relieves the tension of medical care, fully expresses the designer's care for the building users, and effectively reduces the energy consumption of the building.
Convenient facilities such as one-stop service centers and supermarkets are placed around the medical street, so that patients can enjoy a series of high-quality and heart-warming services as soon as they enter the hospital.

Integrate into the regional context
Establish a new image
The design draws inspiration from the "Mining and Metallurgical Grand Canyon", integrates the design of outpatient medical technology and the shape of the inpatient building, and forms Daye's unique terrace-like deep valley intention through the relationship between advance and retreat and line changes, combined with the green courtyard and ecological garden, so that the whole hospital forms the overall environmental atmosphere of "Mining and Metallurgical Green Valley". Combined with the urban landscape river on the east side of the site, the overall environment of the hospital and the urban landscape river form a spatial interaction, making the hospital a "healing harbor" serving urban citizens on the side of the urban landscape river. Active diagonal lines are used between the horizontal lines to simulate the pulse waves of the electrocardiogram, reflecting the characteristics of medical architecture.

epilogue
The new hospital not only strengthens the complementarity and synergy with the old hospital, but also effectively alleviates the shortage of medical resources in Daye City and its surrounding areas by integrating community medical and health care functions, marking a new chapter in the high-quality development of regional medical services.
