In the spring of 1947, the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army launched the third campaign to go down to the south of the Yangtze River, but what Lin Biao didn't expect was that Zhong Wei, the commander of the 5th Division of the Second Column, violated the military order and set off the Battle of Backing Mountain.
Seeing this, Lin Biao did not dwell on Zhong Wei's protest order, but immediately changed the battle plan, and the independent 1st Division, of which Liu Zhuanlian served as the division commander, immediately received Lin Biao's order to go south to intercept the enemy who came out from Nong'an to reinforce the mountain.
This was supposed to be a completely victorious battle, but the independent first division did not block it, allowing the enemy to run away, and the fat head in the mouth was not eaten, Lin Biao was furious: "The division commander should be shot to death." ”
Why didn't Liu Zhuanlian block the enemy? After Lin Biao was furious, what happened to him later?
Liu Zhuanlian's life is wonderful, he is actually one of the most brave and good generals in our army, whether it is in the Red Army, or in the Anti-Japanese War, or even before the third battle of the south of the Yangtze River, Liu Zhuanlian has always won a hundred battles and never slackened.
In 1926, when the wave of revolution swept across the land of Hunan and Jiangxi, 14-year-old Liu Zhuanlian immediately threw himself into it in order to change his tragic fate, actively participated in various activities, fought local tyrants, divided land, and fought landlords.
Liu Zhuanlian was intelligent, responsible, and rigorous, he was soon valued by his superiors, and was transferred to the county charge company as a company commander, and the local troops were not pursued by Liu Zhuanlian at that time, so a year later, Liu Zhuanlian took a carefully selected platoon of combat backbones and officially defected to the Red Army, and since then, Liu Zhuanlian's life has opened a new chapter.
For a soldier, the theories in textbooks are "on paper" after all, and if you want to truly become an excellent soldier, you must go through the tempering and test of war.
Liu Zhuanlian has a kind personality and is honest, don't look at his age at that time, but he has a great sense of belonging to the party organization and the Red Army, so he has an attitude of "death for the confidant" on the battlefield.
Death will always favor the brave, although Liu Zhuanlian charges forward every time, but his life does not belong to death, but again and again metamorphosis, until he became a member of the Red Sixth Army of fierce generals, during the Long March, Liu Zhuanlian successively served as the regiment commander, division commander and other positions, each time he rose to the top, it represents him in the annals of the Chinese revolution, once again left a strong stroke.
After the Red Second and Sixth Army Corps and the Red Fourth Front Army joined forces, under Zhu De's personal name, Liu Zhuanlian served as the commander of the "Model Division", what is a model? Interpreted as a person or thing worth emulating, this actually means that in the Red Sixth Army, Liu Zhuanlian's excellence is already a basic consensus.
In the period of the Anti-Japanese War, Liu Zhuanlian's demeanor is still the same, he served as the commander of the 717 regiment of the 359 brigade under the command of the old leader Wang Zhen, and then in a short period of time, he first led the whole regiment to inflict heavy losses on the Japanese army in Mitsui Town, destroying more than 300 enemies, and then in Forty Liyu, he completely annihilated more than 300 people of the Japanese army Tianyuan Brigade, plus 38 military vehicles, and later in Wutai Mountain, he led the whole regiment to cooperate with his brothers to destroy more than 700 enemies, which can be described as a fruitful battle.
And just when Liu Zhuanlian wanted to continue to contribute to the cause of the Anti-Japanese War, the enemy's blockade of Yan'an forced the Central Committee of our Party to make a response, and had to transfer the 359 Brigade back to Yan'an to carry out a large-scale production movement.
The 359th Brigade went to Nanniwan, but Liu Zhuanlian was at this time, but he suddenly transferred to the Central Party School to study.
It turned out that leaving the army this time was not Liu Zhuanlian's true thoughts, but was forced, when he killed the enemy on the front-line anti-Japanese battlefield, his newly married wife was molested at the station, and this person was still the leader of Liu Zhuanlian's unit.
After Liu Zhuanlian learned about it, he immediately found the leader and quarreled, and the matter went to the brigade commander Wang Zhen, Wang Zhen chose to play the "fifty boards", and finally identified Liu Zhuanlian's wife as a cadre who took the initiative to seduce the party and destroy unity in the name of the organization.
Later, on one occasion, Liu Zhuanlian took time to meet his wife during the battle, but was given small shoes by this leader and was punished for "leaving his post without permission." Liu Zhuanlian was unwilling to endure it any longer, so he wrote a letter to the higher-level organization to complain, and on the other hand, with the consent of the higher-level leader, he left the army to study at the party school.
Hu Yaobang, then deputy director of the Organization Department of the General Political Department, personally inquired into the matter, and after learning about the matter, he immediately made a fair assessment of Liu Zhuanlian and revoked the punishment he had previously given.
Since then, Liu Zhuanlian has been in a good mood, and he has no complaints in his heart, and continues to fight for the revolution, winning many battles.
In June 1945, Liu Zhuanlian was ordered to lead the second detachment of the Eighth Route Army south to resist the Japanese, they crossed the northwest of Shanxi, crossed the Luliang Mountain, and walked while fighting, until September, the Japanese surrendered, Liu Zhuanlian connected to the party organization order, stopped going south, immediately went north, and advanced to the northeast.
In winter, Liu Zhuanlian led the troops to Shenyang and restored the number of the 359 Brigade, and then he led the troops to become more and more courageous, liberated more than 10 counties successively, and cooperated with the brother team to eliminate the large and small bandits in the Hejiang area, at the beginning of 1947, Liu Zhuanlian's troops were reorganized into an independent division, and he continued to be the division commander.
What many people didn't expect was that Liu Zhuanlian, a fierce general who won a hundred battles, "defeated Maicheng" in the Battle of Jiangnan
At that time, in order to cooperate with Zhong Wei to lead his troops to fight the Battle of Gushantun, Liu Zhuanlian was ordered to lead his troops south to intercept the enemy in Nong'an, and the enemy came with a division, and at this time, the vanguard led by Liu Zhuanlian had only one battalion, and the other follow-up troops had not yet arrived.
At the critical moment, Liu Zhuanlian had no choice but to take a battalion to meet the enemy and a division, although the soldiers were very tenacious, but the results were not great, and finally the enemy calmly left.
When Lin Biao learned of this, he was furious and said, "The division commander should be shot." Liu Zhuanlian was also very aggrieved, and later Luo Ronghuan reconciled in the center, and Liu Zhuanlian was only demoted to the deputy commander of the Third Independent Division.
Facts have proved that Liu Zhuanlian delayed the fighter plane to defeat the battle, but it was not that he really couldn't do it, and then he won battles one after another, showing his true military command, and for this reason, he was promoted again and served as a division commander.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Liu Zhuanlian successively served as the deputy commander and commander of the 48th Army, and when he was awarded the title in 1955, Liu Zhuanlian was awarded the rank of lieutenant general.
Seeing this, some people may question why Liu Zhuanlian only became a deputy army-level cadre in 1949, and he was a lieutenant general when he was awarded the title? You must know that the award of titles does not only consider military merits, but also qualifications, origin, and so on.
As a division commander during the Red Army, Liu Zhuanlian was fully qualified to be awarded the rank of lieutenant general.
Later, Liu Zhuanlian became the deputy commander of the Shenyang Military Region, and after his retirement, he enjoyed the treatment of a full-time position in the large military region.
