"Little Law" Rule of Law Summer Camp | Be wary of the "invisible" place of the crime and stay away from the "big bad wolf" of the Internet

During the summer vacation, the frequency of children's contact with mobile phones and the Internet increases, and many parents may feel that there is nothing wrong with chatting online, but even under the noses of parents, children who are not deeply involved in the world may become the target of "Internet big bad wolves" to carry out "indecency in the air".

Typical Cases:

1. Gao (male, 18 years old) and Xiaoxue (female, 10 years old) met on a social software, and then under Gao's sweet words, Xiaoxue agreed to be his girlfriend. Subsequently, for half a year, Gao repeatedly sent molesting words and multiple obscene videos to the victim, inducing and instigating Xiaoxue to imitate obscene videos and take photos and videos of touching his private parts for him to watch.

2. Long (male, 33 years old) disguised himself as a female elementary school student on an online dating software, and after winning the trust of the victim Xiao Xin (female, 8 years old) under the pretext of being a girlfriend, he repeatedly lured Xiao Xin to send nude photos and videos to his other social account "Xiao Shuai" on the grounds that taking pictures could make money, and after getting Xiao Xin's nude photos, Long threatened to denounce the victim's mother, and asked Xiao Xin to take a video of his private parts every day.

These are two cases of "indecency" of children through the Internet, where the criminal suspect took advantage of the victim's young ignorance and seeking warmth, support and understanding, and greeted the victim with warmth in the process of online dating, accompanied by material temptations such as money, and gradually gained the victim's trust and then committed the violation, seriously infringing on the child's personal dignity and mental health. Indecency is different from traditional sexual assault in that it does not have physical contact, but uses the Internet as a medium to use the Internet to mentally control minors, and then trick and coerce minors to engage in "naked chats" or send "nude photos" and "nude videos" to satisfy their own specific fetishes. But it is also difficult to detect because there is no physical contact; And because minors are not yet mentally mature, they do not even know that they are being violated.

The prosecutor told the parents:

1. Pay attention to children's physical and mental health. Increase the companionship and care for minors, and pay attention to the growth dynamics of minors. Communicate with children and teachers frequently to understand their learning and psychological conditions at school, and detect abnormal behaviors in time, such as emotional fluctuations and behaviors that are different from daily life.

2. Pay close attention to the time and content of your child's use of the Internet, understand your child's online dating status, and filter out bad information. Educate children to protect their privacy, not to add online friends arbitrarily, not to take or post photos of their private parts, and not to easily accept invitations from strangers. For children's questions about sexuality, use appropriate educational pictures and videos to popularize science, do not suppress children's curiosity, and do not exaggerate or scandalize sex-related content.

3. After discovering that the child has been sexually assaulted, do not blame the child, pay attention to retaining the evidence, and report the case in time. Criminals who carry out "indecency in the air" mainly use various dating software to exercise mental control over minors, and the chat records during this period are important evidence of the case, do not delete the chat records, save the relevant information and submit it to the police when reporting to the police.

The prosecutor told the cyber regulator:

The internet information and internet security departments should strengthen the transfer of leads on minors' online violations to the judicial organs, and strengthen joint efforts to combat sexual violations of minors. Strengthen the investigation of social communication software, talk to social software operating companies, and strictly rectify negative information such as pornography and obscenity, urging online platforms to strictly implement entity responsibility for the protection of minors online, purifying the environment for online use, and squeezing the space for crime.

Let us work together to prevent cases of online sexual abuse of minors, and jointly hold up the "protective umbrella" of love for the healthy growth of minors.
