Exhibition to commemorate the 155th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Zhang Taiyan
Learned revolutionary
In June 1936, Mr. Lu Xun, who had just been diagnosed with stomach disease by the doctor, heard the news of the death of his former teacher Mr. Zhang Taiyan during his illness, and a few months later, his condition improved slightly, and he wrote two famous articles "Two or Three Things About Mr. Taiyan" and "Two or Three Things Remembered by Mr. Taiyan", which became the last posthumous works of Lu Xun's life.
In reminiscence of Mr. Zhang Taiyan, Lu Xun wrote:
After being released from prison in June 1906, he crossed to Tokyo and soon presided over the Minbao. I love to read this "Minbao", but it is not for the sake of Mr. Wang's ancient writing, to solve difficulties, or to talk about Buddhism, to talk about "evolution", but for him to fight against Liang Qichao, who advocates royalism,...... It's really invincible and exciting. I went to listen to the lecture at this time, but not because he was a scholar, but because he was a learned revolutionary, so until now, Mr.'s voice and smile are still at present, and I don't remember a word of the "Shuowen Jiezi" he said.
The comment "learned revolutionary" has been handed down with Mr. Lu Xun's words. This comment is a high summary of Zhang Taiyan's life, and academically, Zhang Taiyan is the culmination of traditional Chinese scholarship and a famous master of Chinese studies in modern times. In the revolution, he actively explored the road to national salvation throughout his life, and was the father of the Xinhai Revolution and an important revolutionary in modern Chinese history.
