The helicopter from the "Mimino" movie can now be seen in the museum
After restoration, the Mi-2 helicopter returned to the museum complex in Upper Pishma, but returned with a completely new look.
Previously, this was an ordinary helicopter in the standard green military livery.
Since the helicopter did not have any special history - it was just an ordinary worker of the Soviet Air Force, it was decided to make it even more beautiful. The livery of the early prototype was chosen.
For the observant aviation enthusiast, there is an "easter egg" hidden in this livery - the registration number Soviet-15871, which belongs to a helicopter from the Danilia film "Mimino".
A scene from the movie "Mimino".
As for the museum exhibit itself, it was built in 1981 by the Poland PZL-Shividnik plant with the plant number 547416111.
The restoration was carried out by the same company that had restored the Yak-25.
The work was done at a very high level, the technical inscriptions were restored, the old glass that had become blurred was replaced. The appearance looks almost like a new factory helicopter.
At the moment, the helicopter is parked on the ground, but it is not excluded that later it will be installed on an elegant pedestal and rise into the air.
