A passage from the Daigo empowerment that I recently saw! Share!
"Do you have any special insights lately?" My friend asked me.
I smiled and nodded, "yes, I recently read a sentence that made me feel enlightened, and it was really inspiring. ”
The quote goes something like this: "We always overestimate what we can accomplish in a year and underestimate what we can achieve in ten years." This quote made me reflect a lot, especially when we often feel anxious and restless in our daily lives. We are often full of expectations for the immediate goals and hope to see results in a short period of time, but in reality, many important achievements take time to accumulate and precipitate.
This passage reminds me that success and growth in life is a long-term process, not an overnight process. Modern society is full of fascination with quick success, and everyone seems to be chasing immediate results. From work to life, we always want to see changes quickly, but this often brings anxiety and stress. We are disappointed or even give up because we don't see results in the short term, not realizing that it takes time for something really meaningful.
When I think of this, I can't help but look back on my past. There are some dreams and goals, because I can't see the progress in the short term, I choose to give up. In retrospect, those were signs of a lack of patience and confidence. If I had been able to hold on at the time, maybe it would have been a completely different story. This reflection made me realize how important it is to be patient and keep working hard. Success does not lie in a temporary sprint, but in long-term persistence and accumulation.
This quote also made me re-examine my goals and plans. I've started to focus more on long-term goals rather than just the immediate gains and losses. I realized that success is not just about achieving a goal, it's about continuous progress and growth. It's like planting a tree, planting a seed today, and it may take years before it blossoms and bears fruit. In this process, we need not only sweat, but also time.
I've also realized that underestimating what we can accomplish in 10 years is actually a reminder to look to the future. Ten years is a long time during which we can learn a new skill, complete an important project, or even change the course of our lives. The key is whether we are willing to put in the continuous effort to do this, and to maintain faith and patience.
When I shared this with my friends, I also saw the resonance in their eyes. We live in a fast-paced era where everyone seems to be running, but sometimes, we need to stop and look at our direction. Success and growth is a cumulative process, and each step lays the foundation for the future. Whether it's personal progress or professional development, we should believe in the power of time.
In the days to come, I hope to be able to continue to practice the wisdom of this passage, to be patient, to keep working hard, and to keep growing. Each of us has unlimited potential, and as long as we don't give up, we will one day see ourselves grow and improve. Hopefully, this passage will also give you some inspiration and let us work together for a better future. Share!
