SilverClear is an antimicrobial solution with silver ions as the main ingredient, which has been certified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) (registration number; 84630-2), the principle of action is that the molecule releases two types of ions, the positive molecule can quickly tear the protective wall of the bacteria, and the smaller silver ions then enter the outer membrane of the bacteria, disturb the respiratory system of the bacteria and destroy the DNA of the bacteria, after the detection of AATCC 100, after up to 100 washes, it still has excellent antibacterial and bactericidal effects. It can be widely used in cotton, polyester, nylon, acrylic and other fabrics.
1. Physical and chemical properties
Appearance: Milky white liquid
Ionic type: cationic
pH: 2.5-4.0
Solubility: Soluble in water
Compatibility: Good compatibility with resins, adhesives, fluorocarbon waterproofing agents and other finishing aids.
II. How to use
It can be used after testing according to the following sequence:
1. Dipping and coating SilverClear is used in the dipping process, and the rolling margin is about 30% - 60%. For a better antimicrobial effect, it is recommended that SilverClear be added in the last-tank (before drying). The dosage is 2%-5%, if the dosage of the product is increased, the antibacterial effect and washing resistance will also be significantly improved
2. Spraying method SilverClear can be sprayed with diluent (20% and above) or stock solution. Since the product does not contain any harmful solvents, no special ventilation or exhaust devices are required for the preparation of SiIverClear working fluids or applications. Of course, local occupational health requirements must be complied with. For better antimicrobial properties, SilverClear should be used in the last step of finishing.
3. Drying and baking In order to get better washing resistance, the treated fabric needs to be dried at 120°C, and then baked at 170°C -180°C for more than 20 seconds
Product performance
1. Effectively kill bacteria, fungi and mold, so as to keep textiles fresh and odorless.
2. It does not affect the feel and luster of the product
3. It is easy to use and can be applied with other products without additional processing technology
4. Suitable for fibers, yarn textile fabrics, paper filter materials, woven fabrics, and non-woven fabrics.
5. It has been registered and certified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency
Storage
1. Stir well before use. Stirring vigorously or swirling (vortexing) to ensure that there is no sediment at the bottom of the container. An electric agitator with a 3-blade propeller can be used to get good mixing results. Try to avoid excessive foaming. SilverClear solution should be stored in a bucket in a cool, dry environment away from strong UV exposure.
2. Do not expose to the sun and place in a high temperature environment.
