In August, the folk dance drama "Dream of Red Mansions" returned to Nanjing again. In order to allow the audience to deeply experience the culture of the Dream of Red Mansions, Jiangsu Grand Theatre and Nanjing Jiangnan Silk Culture Museum jointly launched the "Dream and Beauty" Dream of Red Mansions Cultural Experience Exhibition, creating a carnival through time and space for fans of Red Mansions.
This exhibition combines diversified interactive forms such as stamp collection and cultural and creative markets, and carefully sets up four check-in points, namely the glass wall of the dance drama repertoire, the midsummer of the Red Mansion, the New Year brocade and the classic flower wall, so that the audience can immerse themselves in "dreams" before watching the play. "It is hoped that through this exhibition, the cultural essence of "Dream of Red Mansions" will be combined with the current popular 'check-in' culture, and on this basis, seasonal elements will be integrated to meet the diverse needs of the audience." Geng Qi, director of the Nanjing Jiangnan Silk Culture Museum, told reporters.
It is understood that the exhibition is fully open to the public, and the audience can come to check in during the performance. On the afternoon of the 4th, the reporter came to the exhibition site and saw the colorful glass curtain and the real stage scene, flower funeral steps, reunion background, etc., and all kinds of gorgeous silk fabrics shining under the light. There are still two hours before the start of "Dream of Red Mansions", and many audience members are already wearing traditional Chinese costumes such as cheongsam and Hanfu to check in and take photos in the exhibition hall.
Soft smoke, fragrant drink, Nanjing Yunjin ...... The exhibition features a cultural and creative stall that carefully restores the items commonly used by the ancients in summer mentioned in Dream of Red Mansions, such as a light fan for summer purposes, a sachet to cool off the heat, a nephrite waterproof tea mat and a colorful crane beauty fist. "Beauty boxing, from the fifty-third episode of "Dream of Red Mansions", 'Mother Jia was crooked on the couch and laughed with everyone...... and ordered Amber to sit on the couch and beat her legs with a beauty'. Many of our cultural and creative design concepts come from the text of "Dream of Red Mansions" itself. Geng Qi said.
The various gorgeous silk fabrics in the New Year show the delicacy and elegance of the silk culture in the south of the Yangtze River. "Many tourists from other places came to check in and watched more than one show." Geng Qi believes that "Dream of Red Mansions" has a deep relationship with the Jiangning Weaving Department, and the combination of Jinling culture and silk culture for publicity can make more people understand and fall in love with Jiangnan silk culture and feel the cultural charm from the depths of history.
The stamp collection and check-in activities set up in the exhibition are particularly attractive, and visitors can purchase a stamp book or blank paper fan with the theme of the Red Mansion, which will be stamped with a unique lyrics stamp. The seals include color medals and gold medals, and the golden sentences such as "you testify to me, and the heart testifies to the will" are selected, aiming to let the audience have an in-depth understanding of the cultural connotation of "Dream of Red Mansions" in the interaction. "In the past two days, many children have also come to check in and stamp, and we will simply explain the meaning of the words they don't understand." Geng Qi said.
In addition, the Red Mansion Market outside the exhibition also brings together many creative products inspired by "Dream of Red Mansions", from silk products to stationery, each piece of cultural creativity carries a tribute to the culture of Red Mansions and meets the needs of Red Mansion lovers of different ages. Geng Qi said that in the next two weeks, more culture lovers will come here to check in and weave the "Dream of Red Mansions" inside and outside the venue.
