The anger appeal has worked! World Athletics retracts foul determination Kenya's Olympic silver medal was retained

I don't know the relationship between Kenya and Ethiopia, but the competition between the two countries on the track and field has always been tense.

In the women's 5,000m final of the Paris Olympics, which ended early this morning, Kenya's Kipyegon and leading Ethiopia's Cheseguet got into a physical altercation. Kipyegon was disqualified from the silver medal after the race, and the fourth-placed Italy was fortunate to come off the bench to finish third.

But apparently Kenya appealed angrily, and eventually the official sentence was annulled. Still given Kipyegon the runner-up honor, Netherlands' Hassan is still third. The bronze medal of Italy's Barto Cletti is gone before I see it.

The official Twitter of the World Athletics Federation also officially announced that there was no change in the final top three.

It would be unfair for the World Athletics Federation to decide that Kipyegon was at fault, and that the mistake was so great that he should be deprived of his silver medal. It didn't take long to wait, and the Kenya Athletics Association's appeal reached positive confirmation, and Kipyegon silver medal was recovered!
